Our flagship Student Event 鈥� Bridging the Gap, is back. 听
Taking place on Saturday 20 February 2027, you can enjoy the benefits of a hybrid format, by joining in person in Birmingham or remotely via our online platform.听
This event is designed to support student members as you transition from training to professional practice, helping you to build confidence through shared learning, lived experience, and practical insight.听
Since launching in 2012, this popular event takes place every two years, and plays a key role in supporting students and contributing to the development of the wider profession.听
The programme will explore current challenges facing the profession and provide tools and perspectives to help you navigate them with confidence.听
The aims of the conference are to:听
- support you as you transition from finishing training to starting on your career pathway听
- provide networking opportunities and peer to peer support
- raise awareness of the support we offer as your progress through your career with us as your membership body
- provide CPD opportunities that are relevant and timely to your training
After the conference you'll:
- recognise the importance of working within the boundaries of your competence when addressing presenting issues in professional practice听
- identify and evaluate key career pathways available following qualification in counselling and psychotherapy听
- develop and enhance personal development planning skills, with a focus on the practical application of these skills in a professional context听
- gain insights from lived practitioner experiences, exploring both the opportunities and challenges encountered when transitioning into a career in counselling and psychotherapy听
- understand the range of member products and services we offer, and how these can support you on your career journey听

Join us on Saturday 20 February 2027听from 8.45am until 4.55pm in Birmingham at The Vox Conference Venue, Resort World, Marston Green, Birmingham, B40 1PU.
On demand
If you鈥檙e unable to attend on the day, all bookings include access to the on-demand service, where you can catch up on the recordings from the conference as many times as you like from Friday 26 February 2027 until Wednesday 26 May 2027. A link will be circulated after the event.听
The on-demand service will be human transcribed through a reviewed process to ensure accuracy.听
