What's included

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already reshaping everyday life, from search engines to virtual assistants, entire industries are changing and responding, often with fear. But how well do we understand AI’s role in therapy? This event explores what it means to be AI ready in clinical practice, from ethical frameworks to practical applications,we’llcover thedifferent typesof AI, how AI might support or challenge therapeutic work and whether AI could ever truly provide counselling as we see it. With expert input, this event will give interested attendees and Ĺ members a space to examine both the potential and the risks of AI in therapy and discuss how we can andlikely shouldengage with this rapidly evolving technology responsibly.

AI is here to stay, some of us may already be using it, whetherit’sthe first response you get in an internet search, a question to Siri or Alexa, or a conversation with Chat GPT, Gemini or others.

However, how much do you know about AI did you know there are 4 broad categories of AI (Narrow, General,Strongand Super) each designed and evolving for different purposes. Are there ways that AI can support your practice? Are there ways that AI can support your clients? Did you know you can inform AI and there might be somevery importantknowledge we can input into it? Are there any clinical applications of AI that meet the Ethical Framework. Did you know that the Ethical Framework is in review to include AI going forward amongst other changes? Are you aware of the cross continent and environmental implications of AI?

Andmaybe thebiggest question for us all “Can AI provide counselling?”
