Hello, I鈥檓 Emma, the counsellor behind The Pea Project Counselling. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative counsellor with additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have six years鈥� experience as a counsellor and over 25 years鈥� ex鈥�

We are currently living in very strange times and it's a rare person who doesn't feel overwhelmed at some point.  This can exacerbate issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and self doubt, and coming to counselling can be the first step in helping鈥�

We all have times where we experience difficulties that feel too much or situations where we feel stuck. Feelings of anxiety, depression, grief and anger are very normal but we don't always know how to cope with them and may feel overwhelmed. You m鈥�

I support people with a range of emotional and life challenges, many of which involve experiences of loss. This may be a bereavement, the ending of a relationship, or estrangement. The loss may be recent, or it may be something from the past that co鈥�

As a person- centred therapist, my role is to help my clients explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in order for them to become more self-aware. Here are some characteristics of a person-centered therapy session: Client-led: The client leads鈥�
