About me and my therapy practice
I am Anna Critsinelis, a Clinical Psychologist in Brazil and a counsellor and psychotherapist in the UK, working with children, young people, and adults at Tower Clinic. I completed further training as a Clinical Supervisor, and I offer Person-Centred and CBT supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists in training and practice.
My clinical experience includes working within schools, neurodiversity services, and mental health settings, supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, abuse, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship and attachment issues, neurodivergence (including ADHD, autism, and related presentations), identity-related concerns, and complex family dynamics.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on CBT, DBT, and person-centred therapy. I focus on understanding patterns of thinking, emotion, and behaviour, helping clients develop practical and meaningful change through a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
In supervision, I aim to provide a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space where supervisees can explore their clinical work, professional development, and relational processes with confidence and curiosity. Drawing on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, I support practitioners in developing greater self-awareness, clinical insight, ethical practice, and reflective capacity, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and safeguarding client welfare.
Practice description
In supervision, I aim to create a supportive and reflective space where supervisees feel able to think openly about their client work, challenges, emotional responses, and professional development. I draw on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision to explore not only the client’s process, but also the therapeutic relationship, the supervisee’s internal experience, and the wider dynamics that may be impacting the work.
I see supervision as a collaborative process that supports growth, curiosity, and ethical practice. I aim to help supervisees feel more confident in their clinical thinking, develop greater self-awareness, and feel supported in navigating the emotional and relational complexities of therapeutic work.
I encourage reflective practice, authenticity, and a deeper understanding of both the client and the therapist within the therapeutic relationship, while maintaining safe and ethical practice.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for new supervisees. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to explore whether we are a good fit to work together and to discuss what you are looking for from supervision.
We can talk about your current clinical work, professional development goals, areas where you may need support, and any questions you have about my approach to supervision.
We will also discuss practical arrangements, including frequency of sessions, ways of working, and expectations within the supervisory relationship.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Anna Critsinelis, I am a Qualified Integrative Counsellor (MÌÇÐĹÙÍø) with a background in Psychology. (GMBPsS)
My professional background is rooted in psychology, and I bring a deep understanding of mental health difficulties, emotional patterns, trauma responses, and relational dynamics.
My practice is trauma-informed, and I work integratively, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
This means I can support you to understand not only what you are struggling with, but also why certain patterns may have developed and how they may be affecting your life, relationships and sense of self.
I have particular experience working with anxiety, panic, OCD and intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, shame, emotional overwhelm, anger, trauma-related difficulties, relationship patterns, family difficulties, grief, identity changes and major life transitions. I work with neurodivergency, emotional difficulties and Self-Harm.
I help clients who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in overthinking, trapped in people-pleasing, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel anxious, self-critical, emotionally drained or disconnected from themselves.
My style is warm, grounded, honest and non-judgemental. I will not simply sit back and leave you alone with your pain, but I also will not rush you, pathologise you or tell you what to do. I work collaboratively, helping you make sense of what is happening emotionally, cognitively, physically and relationally.
My professional experience includes working in secondary schools, neurodiverse and mental health clinics.
This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of mental health challenges and disorders, allowing me to work with a wide range of issues.
I work with adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.
Practice description
I work full-time in private practice and offer flexible appointment times, including evening sessions. I provide therapy remotely across the UK, as well as face-to-face sessions at The Tower Clinic in Leeds, LS16 and the Insight Therapy Centre in LS8.
I hold professional insurance, am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and work in line with GDPR requirements to protect your privacy and personal information.
I offer video, telephone and live text message sessions, allowing therapy to fit around your lifestyle, needs and commitments.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin to understand what has brought you to therapy.
Before we meet, I will add you to my secure practice system and send you a short form to complete with some basic information. This helps me understand a little about you before our first appointment.
When we meet, we will go at your pace. You do not need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. I may ask some gentle questions about your current situation, lifestyle, relationships, emotions, and what you would like support with. We may also explore what is going well, what feels difficult, and what you would like to be different.
Depending on your age, needs and preferences, the session may involve talking, using creative activities, playing a therapeutic game, or simply taking time for me to listen and understand your experience.
Together, we will begin to build a picture of what is happening for you and think about what kind of support may be most helpful. From there, we can create a plan that feels realistic, collaborative, and suited to your needs.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but there is no pressure to share everything at once. The first session is about helping you feel heard, understood, and comfortable enough to begin the therapeutic work.
