About me and my therapy practice
With over 24 years of experience as a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and HCPC Reg'd Counselling Psychologist, I offer a warm, safe, confidential and supportive space where you can openly explore the difficulties you may be facing. Taking the first step towards counselling or psychotherapy can feel daunting initially, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change, greater self-understanding and a more fulfilling life and relationships.Practice description
My approach is integrative, holding our theraputic relationship at the heart of our work. Building on this, I combine Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy and psychodynamic understanding, thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs and cultural context.
Together, we can develop deeper insight into your emotions, behaviours and relationships, helping you build a stronger sense of self, develop healthier coping strategies, and feel more empowered within yourself and in your relationships with others. This process can support you in moving forward with greater confidence, clarity and fulfilment.
I offer weekly ongoing, therapy to adults nationally - online or via telephone, and in person more locally, in Kings Heath, B14 and Solihull, B91.
I am also able to see 16 and 17 year olds, in-person only. I also offer supervision to qualified Counsellors and Trainee Counsellors.
My first session
We can have a brief introductory call, 15 mins, to help with your initial query and look towards booking an appointment, if this would be helpful.
At your initial appointment, we will discuss your situation and difficulties in more detail, and think through how our sessions can be helpful. This often includes offering a safe space to talk, non-judgemental emotional support and working on coping strategies, to help you towards the changes you would like to make.
