About me and my therapy practice
Counselling offers a space to explore thoughts and feelings in complete confidence, and to recognise patterns in relating that may be keeping you stuck. Whatever may bring you to counselling, I can offer you a unique relationship where your experience is truly respected, and where all of you is entirely welcome.
I am a qualified counsellor and an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.
I work with both individuals and couples, in Bristol and in Bath.
I have over 30 years professional experience of working with people from all walks of life. This has included massage therapy, NHS maternity care, and counselling; both privately and within a mental health charity. My practice is integrative and relational, and I aim to create the most appropriate way of working with you - no one size fits all. Together, we could consider and explore how you relate to others today - the relationships you choose and maintain, the choices that you make, and the ways in which you respond to challenge such as loss and stress. Becoming aware of the influences and habits that shape you, finding compassion for yourself, and exploring new perspectives can promote positive change, allowing you to develop and heal from negative thoughts, behaviours and experiences.
In my work with couples, I will support the hard work needed towards better communication between you, helping you to untangle the destructive and often unconscious patterns that have developed. Finding understanding and compassion for yourselves and for each other can enable a return to the state of safety and love that you yearn for together. If you decide what you need is to separate, then couples therapy can help you find the way forward with respect and compassion.

I offer an initial consultation, which is charged at £50 (individuals) and £70 (couples), for us to discover what it feels like to work together before entering into a contract. All sessions last for 50 minutes.
