About me and my therapy practice
I am currently offering sessions in person and online.
I qualified as a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered counsellor in 2015. I am ÌÇÐĹÙÍø accredited, and a couples counsellor and supervisor.
I am a humanistic and integrative counsellor; this means that I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual and I appreciate your unique differences as a person.
I am a registered counsellor with BUPA.
Practice description
Since 2012, I have experience of counselling people with a wide range of mental health issues; such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, life-threatening illnesses and bereavement.
From 2012 to 2019, I specialised in supporting people with eating disorders through the Bath-based charity Focus Counselling.
From 2010 to 2019, I worked with people with dementia and their carers in a health and social care setting. I undertook a wide range of training in this area, providing me with a strong understanding of how dementia and the role of caring can impact on a person’s life. Combined together my experience led me to work for the counselling service for Alzheimer’s Support.
From my experience in working with people facing a life changing diagnosis, since 2016 I also have provided counselling for We Hear You and Penny Brohn UK; helping people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their families.
I also have experience of working with clients who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Approach
My approach to counselling is to provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore whatever brings you to therapy. I see the counselling relationship as collaborative and will be working with you to help you process conflicted emotions and find your own path forward.
Being a person-centred therapist, I follow the pace at which you are comfortable working and don’t set the agenda for our sessions.
I offer you a place to explore the multi-faceted nature of self, and how different parts may be in conflict with each other.
I hope that through our working relationship, I can help you find a way to process emotional distress and understand your authentic self.
Additional Skills
I offer creativity and artistic expression in counselling sessions as a means of self-exploration and reaching new understanding; as words can often limit our ability to express our feelings.
My first session
If you are interested in seeking counselling with me, please contact me via email or my mobile so we can begin to discuss what you are looking to get out of counselling. I offer a free 30 minute consultation with you at my practice, where you can find out more about me and how I work and it gives you the opportunity to explain how you would like to use the sessions. If you decide you would like to work with me, we will arrange weekly (sometimes fortnightly) sessions in a short or long term arrangement.

About me and my therapy practice
I have been practicing as a supervisor since 2022. I have experience in providing supervision to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists on placement. Additionally I have experience in a clinical setting; supervising oncology nurses.
Practice description
In my supervision, I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where supervisees feel able to explore their client work openly, including areas of uncertainty, challenge, and growth.
I offer authenticity and warmth fostering a supervisory relationship that supports both personal and professional development. I view supervision as a relational and co-created process, where reflecting on the supervisory relationship itself is key.
As an integrative practitioner, I support supervisees in working flexibly and thoughtfully across different theoretical models, helping them to develop coherence in their approach.
I also recognise the emotional impact of therapeutic work and the importance of sustainability. I hope through supervision, I can provide space to build resilience and maintain wellbeing, enabling supervisees to practise in an ethical, grounded, and compassionate way.
Overall, my approach is relational, reflective, and development-focused, supporting supervisees to deepen their self-awareness, strengthen their clinical skills, and grow in confidence as practitioners.
