About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Tracy Levy Mulleague
Many people feel hesitant or unsure about how counselling can help.
Counselling can provide a safe space for you to talk freely without judgment, gain new insights, process feelings or learn new coping strategies.
If you are feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed please feel free to get in touch.
I have an interest working with people who either experience low self esteem or anxiety, and understand how exhausting it can be to constantly doubt yourself and overthink. So much time can be spent focusing on the negatives, worrying about the "what if's" and what others think. Perhaps you are fed up people pleasing and forgetting about your own needs.
Sometimes people cope by wearing a mask pretending everything is fine, however it can be exhausting.
Perhaps your tired of the past impacting on your life now.
Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, I am an accredited ÌÇÐĹÙÍø counsellor, with a reputation built on 25 years’ experience of helping people.
I am a trauma informed practitioner and also work with people who have experienced any form of abuse which includes; psychological, sexual, domestic abuse or bullying whether recent, historically or within childhood. The impact of any form of abuse can be short term or last throughout a lifetime, and the impact is different for each person.
As counselling is a talking therapy I will encourage you to tell me what is important to you and what you are finding difficult. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Counselling provides you with a safe space to express feelings and thoughts where you will be seen and heard without judgement.
Practice description
How I can help you
My approach is professional, warm and down-to-earth. I am an integrative counsellor meaning I combine different techniques and approaches tailored to meet individual needs.
I will encourage you to share your experiences so we can work together to increase your understanding or see things from different perspectives.
Depending on your goals for counselling and your preferred way of working our sessions may involve:
• A CBT approach involving unpicking and challenging unhelpful beliefs, thoughts and behaviour, which can be a more structured way of working.
• Using the sessions to discuss, explore and process your thoughts and feelings to enable more insight and understanding.
• Exploring how childhood or past experiences are impacting on you in the here and now to break free of old patterns or put the past to rest.
• Learning and developing new techniques and strategies.
I have successfully helped people from all walks of life and backgrounds living within Huddersfield and across West Yorkshire to:
• Reduce anxiety, and break free from overthinking and worry.
• Manage emotions and improve well being.
• Process distressing experiences in order to put the past to rest.
• Rebuild confidence and self-worth.
• Find long-lasting tools to feel more balanced and in control
Working with me isn’t about quick fixes – it’s about creating meaningful long lasting change!
Why choose me?

If you’re looking for a counsellor that can help you build self esteem, reduce anxiety or recover from abuse issues in Huddersfield or West Yorkshire, please get in touch as I’d be happy to talk through how I can help.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone call in order for me to gain an overview of what you are experiencing and for you to decide if you would like to arrange an initial assessment.
The initial assessment lasts for up to an hour and is an opportunity for us to meet in person or online, and see if we are a comfortable fit to work together.
This appointment differs from a counselling session, as the aim is for me to gather some background information and more specifics about what you are wanting help with and what you wish to achieve in counselling. It involves me asking more questions than I would in a counselling session.
You can ask questions about how I work as a therapist, or raise any concerns you may have about counselling.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an approachable and down-to-earth practitioner dedicated on providing a supportive ethical environment which enables professional and personal development.
I provide clinical supervision for experienced counsellors and trainee counsellors throughout their practitioner training
I am trained in person-centred and psychodynamic modalities; and over many years have developed into an integrative supervisor, blending other interventions from my therapeutic toolbox when appropriate.
I am able to provide clinical supervision from an integrative or person-centred approach to fit with the practitioner’s practice or trainee’s training modality.
Relationship is at the heart of my work!
Supervision is a collaborative process built on trust, empathy, acceptance and mutual respect where supervisee’s feel comfortable taking risks, sharing thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.
I promote self-reflection and self-care, encouraging supervisees to embrace their individual style and learning process.
Appreciating different perspectives, experiences and developmental needs, I tailor my approach to the individual, which may include structure, support, encouragement, education, normalising, space, challenge, mentorship, or validation.
When ethical issues arise, they are addressed collaboratively before I determine the need for guidance, support, or challenge. A respectful challenge encourages consideration of alternative perspectives, deeper reflection and clarity.
Additionally, I also offer counselling for students undertaking counselling training from a person-centred or integrative approach.
Practice description
I work with qualified practitioners ranging from newly qualified to very experienced.
Additionally I work with trainee counsellors whose training ranges from level 4 up to Masters level.
I offer a reduced rate of £50.00 per hour for trainees.
Regardless of a supervisee's experience, modality or skill level....... relationship is at the heart of my practice!
I believe a practitioner will only share openly with a clinical supervisor if they are provided with an environment of acceptance, respect and warmth, where they will be seen and heard without judgement.
I work online and in person.
