About me and my therapy practice

Many people carry their struggles quietly, managing as best they can while something doesn’t quite feel right. It can be difficult to speak openly with friends or family, especially when emotions feel complex or relationships are involved. Talking with an experienced therapist, someone outside of your immediate world, can offer a space focused entirely on you, often bringing clarity and relief.

I offer a calm, confidential, and supportive environment where you can talk openly about whatever may be troubling you. I work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds. I am an accredited and experienced therapist; as well as a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø.

With over ten years’ experience and an established practice, I support people with a wide range of difficulties, offering a steady and thoughtful approach. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed, experiences that are not always easy to make sense of alone.

In our work together, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what is going on at your own pace. I will support you in understanding your experiences, recognising patterns, and finding a way forward that feels right for you.

I have particular experience in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem, and family-related issues. I am also a recognised provider for AXA Health, Vitality Health, and WPA.

I am a qualified and accredited counsellor with over 13 years’ experience, working in private practice and within the NHS.

Practice description

The aim of my counselling work is to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself, so you can navigate life with greater clarity, confidence, and choice. When we are struggling, things can feel confusing or overwhelming, and it may be difficult to understand why we think, feel, or respond in certain ways. By taking time to gently explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, we can begin to build a clearer picture of what is going on for you.

I offer a space where you can speak freely and be met with care, respect, and genuine attention. I will listen without judgment or assumptions, supporting you to explore your experiences at a pace that feels right. Rather than directing you, I work alongside you, helping you develop your own understanding and way forward. I believe that, given the right conditions, people can move towards growth and change in a natural and meaningful way.

Alongside present-day challenges, we may also explore how past experiences have shaped how you think, feel, and relate to others. Patterns that were once helpful can continue into adulthood in ways that no longer serve you. By understanding these with compassion and curiosity, it becomes possible to respond differently.

I recognise that your values, beliefs, and cultural background are an important part of who you are. These are respected throughout our work, which focuses on you as a whole person, your needs, hopes, and what feels meaningful to you.

The aim is to support you in moving towards a way of living that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with who you are.

About me and my therapy practice

My supervision practice comes from a person-centred underpinning.

My aim is to help you make sense of your relationship with your clients and the dynamic processes that are occurring in these relationships by transference or for you in the counter-transference.

I can also help with ethics and professional practice, beginnings and endings, course work and admin requirement for training...

Practice description

As mentioned my practice is underpinned by the person-centred theoretical approach.

I use the Hawkins and Shohet’s 7 eyed model to inform my role as a supervisor:

1.Content of the Therapy Session - coming from the patient

2.Strategies and Interventions – used by the therapist

3.The Therapy Relationship – between the client and the therapist

4.The Therapist’s Process

5.The Supervisory Relationship – between the therapist and the supervisor

6.The Supervisor’s Process

6a.The Fantasised Supervisor - Client Relationship

7. The Wider Influencing Context
