About me and my therapy practice

I am a Person-Centred Therapist with experience supporting adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, grief, and life transitions. My experience spans specialist trauma organisations, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), online therapy platforms, educational settings, and NHS support services.

I have experience providing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed therapy to adults from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I have particular experience supporting Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, and minoritised individuals, as well as those who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, coercive control, female genital mutilation (FGM), forced marriage, and other harmful practices.

I believe that healing and personal growth begin in a safe, compassionate, and accepting therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and valued. I aim to provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy, trust, and authenticity. Together, we will work towards developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself, enabling you to make meaningful and lasting changes in your life.

Practice description

I offer a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can talk openly about whatever is important to you. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, grief or feeling overwhelmed, we will work together to explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable.

As a person-centred therapist, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I will work alongside you to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions and the challenges you may be facing.

Therapy is tailored to your individual needs and progresses at a pace that feels comfortable for you. 

My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel listened to, accepted, and supported, allowing space for reflection, healing, and meaningful personal growth.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute initial assessment by telephone or secure video call to help you explore whether therapy is the right fit for you.

The assessment provides an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what has brought you to therapy and explore what you would like to gain from our work together. We will talk about your current circumstances, the difficulties you may be experiencing, and the goals you hope to achieve. 

Whether you have a specific issue you would like to work through or simply need a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, the assessment allows us to begin understanding what is most important to you.

It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about therapy or how I work. Together, we can consider whether we feel we are a good fit and how we might move forward if you decide to begin therapy.

There is no expectation to share everything during the first session. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable, respectful, and right for you.
