About me and my therapy practice

I’m a fully qualified, ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered psychotherapist offering a compassionate and supportive space where you can begin to explore, heal, and better understand yourself.

My approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, and respect for your individual experience. I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you.

With over 18 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private hospitals, the NHS, and private practice.

I spent 7 years as a CBT therapist at the Priory Group, supporting adults in inpatient and day patient hospital settings. Here, I led individual and group therapy sessions focused on anxiety, OCD, and depression, using evidence-based techniques such as exposure therapy and cognitive restructuring.

Additionally, I worked for 4 years as a psychotherapist with Nuffield Health, providing Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) to help employees manage stress, improve motivation, and foster healthy workplace relationships.

I am also a trained in hypnotherapy and bereavement.  My commitment to bereavement support continues through voluntary work at a local hospice.

Practice description

My practice is located in a comfortable and welcoming therapy room within my home. I understand the importance of creating a peaceful and private space for healing, and I have carefully designed the room to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease during our sessions.

For your convenience, there is ample parking available on the premises, making it easy for you to access the space without stress. Whether you’re attending a session for the first time or returning for ongoing support, I strive to make the experience as accessible and accommodating as possible.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you feel accepted just as you are.

We’ll go at your pace, gently exploring what’s brought you to therapy with no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. I’ll ask a few questions to help understand what’s brought you here, and you’re welcome to ask anything too. I’ll also explain how I work, so you can get a sense of whether it feels like the right fit.

Whether you’re feeling nervous, unsure, or simply curious, you’re very welcome here.
