About me and my therapy practice

I see clients in my Liverpool city centre office and online.

Human minds don’t fit a single template and effective therapy shouldn’t either. We start with you in mind, what’s going on for you, how you process thoughts, feelings, emotions and environments and  what outcomes you’d like to see.

I’m a specialist in anxiety and in neurodiversity.  I work with a clinical lens- but not a narrow one.  I’ve learnt from leading edge research and developed neuroaffirming therapies that are effective.

I have 15 years working experience as a therapist, and 30 years as a behaviour change psychologist. I trained in somatic/body-based psychotherapy in the USA with the late and highly respected Dr Patricia Frisch.

I’m a down to earth therapist with the right dusting of the poetic.  I wholeheartedly believe the right therapy can resource people to be positive agents of change in their lives- whatever that looks like for them.

Schedule a free consultation (on the phone or via Zoom Health video link), and see if this is right for you.

The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.

Practice description

I believe that when people are resourced with the right support and the right skills, they can become positive agents of change in their life. The best therapy gives people the confidence  to adapt to what life chucks at them, without losing themselves.

I give clear guidance and proper support. At the same time, I go at your pace. I adapt therapy to you, what’s going on for you, how deep you want to go and what you want to get out of it.

Good therapy is a spirited working relationship that supports and challenges.
