WORKING WITH BUSY PROFESSIONALS

As a dedicated mental health counsellor, I understand how demanding careers, high expectations, and constant connectivity can lead to overwhelming stress, anxiety and burnout.

My goal is to provide a calm, confidential space where you can pause, connect, and regain a sense of control.

I work with individuals who may appear successful on the outside but feel stretched, anxious, or mentally exhausted beneath the surface.

Whether you're struggling with persistent worry thoughts, difficulty switching off, workplace stress, or a sense of imbalance between your professional and personal life, I offer practical and compassionate support tailored to your needs.

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Each person comes with their own story, their own pace, and their own needs. My role is to meet you where you are, not where I think you should be.

WORKING WITH COUPLES

Couples often come to therapy feeling stuck, struggling with communication breakdowns, trust issues, emotional distance or unresolved hurts.

My role is to facilitate a safe space where both partners can openly express their feelings and be heard.

My focus is on rebuilding connection and developing communication skills, in the hope that a way forward can then be established - whatever that might look like.

This approach aims to nurture conflict resolution in the relationship, whether through reconciliation of hurt feelings or amicable separation.

Practice description

HOW I WORK

My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based techniques with a warm and non-judgemental style.

Together, at a pace that's right for you, we will explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck, develop effective coping stratergies, and build resilience so you can feel more focused, confident, and at ease in both your work and personal life.

I will engage you in a dialogue were you can tell me in your own words, what it is exactly you feel needs to change, and what those changes might look like.

Developing awareness around your early conditions and parental styles is likely in the counselling process. This is helpful in Identifying historical emotional wounds, and, how they may be unconsciously distorting your perception of reality in the present.

At all times I will listen empathically and offer you a kindly, confidential and hopeful relationship were you can bring all of yourself, warts and all without judgement.

MINDFULNESS PRACTICES

Mindfulness practice is becoming increasingly popular as a therapeutic application in the care of clients with a wide range of psychological, emotional and physical health challenges.

In short, you could say that mindfulness practices help us to 'respond' rather than 'react' to our negative states of mind, difficult people or situations. This is sometimes called - the 'gap' to freedom.

This 'gap' offers an opportunity for alternative - more skillful choices to come into being and be put into action.

Everyday-mindfulness can prevent the spiraling into low mood, reduce stress, and bring welcome relief from cycles of depression, burnout and obsessive connectivity.
