About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile.
When coping becomes difficult
People often come to therapy after carrying a great deal on their own for some time.
They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that seem difficult to change despite their best efforts. Sometimes there is a sense of helplessness or feeling alone with what they are carrying, even when they appear to cope on the outside.
What people often struggle with
People come with many different concerns.
These may include anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, feeling emotionally stuck, or repeating patterns they do not fully understand. Sometimes these struggles show up in habits or ways of coping that no longer feel helpful, even when part of you wants things to change.
How I work
I work thoughtfully and gently. It is important that you feel able to bring whatever feels difficult without pressure or judgement. My calmness and steadiness are an important part of how I work.
Together, we make sense of your feelings, exploring not only what is happening now but also how earlier experiences may continue to shape your life today. We go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What therapy can offer
Over time, therapy can help you understand yourself differently and feel less overwhelmed by your emotional experiences.
You may begin to recognise patterns more clearly, feel more grounded within yourself, and experience less of a critical voice in the background.
Therapy is not a quick fix, but it can create space for reflection, emotional understanding, and a different way of relating to yourself and to other people.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in both NHS and private practice settings.
Alongside my clinical work, I also work as a supervisor, supporting other therapists in thinking about their clinical work and the complexities that can arise within it.

About me and my therapy practice
When Difficult Feelings Become Overwhelming
Are you struggling with negative thoughts, difficult emotions or low self-esteem? Perhaps you find yourself caught in relationships or situations that leave you feeling lost, disconnected, or unsure of yourself.
Nothing is more exhausting than battling with overwhelming feelings every day and not knowing what to do with them.
A Supportive and Containing Space
With over 15 years of experience in the NHS and private practice, I’ve been supporting people through challenging emotions and long-standing patterns that hold them back. Perhaps I can help.
My approach is warm, grounded and non-judgemental. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels manageable, allowing you to share what’s troubling you and begin to make sense of it.
Practice description
Understanding Long-Standing Patterns
We all develop ways of coping as children, people-pleasing, avoiding conflict, or turning away from difficult feelings. These strategies once helped us, but as adults they can leave us feeling stuck or disconnected. They may affect your relationships, self-esteem and daily life, or lead to anxiety, depression, eating challenges or substance use.
In our work together, we’ll explore these emotional patterns with curiosity and care, noticing how they formed and how they influence your life today.
Some feelings you may be experiencing:
• anger
• low self-esteem
• a sense of feeling stuck, confused or anxious, whether in your job, relationship or other aspect of your life
• over-sensitivity and anxiety much of the time
• a feeling of being overwhelmed or out of control
• negative thoughts that can spiral out of control
• feelings of helplessness
• self-blame or guilt
• difficulty sleeping
• depressed moods and lack of motivation
• lack of purpose and difficulty making decisions
• relationship difficulties - either clinging to a bad relationship or allowing a good one to spiral out of control
• career difficulties - finding yourself stuck in a job that you don't like or not being able to find a job suited to your skills and potential.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
I work psychodynamically, so we won’t only focus on symptoms, we’ll explore the deeper experiences that shape your thoughts, emotions and relationships.
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place at the same time each week. There is no expectation to come prepared. You bring whatever feels important, and we follow what unfolds.
Therapy is a process. Over time, by drawing on my knowledge and expertise and by getting to know you more, I can help you feel more grounded, more comfortable in your own skin, and more able to make choices in your life, whether in your relationships, your work, or other areas that matter to your life.

An Initial Meeting
If you’re considering therapy, I offer an initial consultation where we can talk about what you’re experiencing and see whether working together feels like the right fit. There is no pressure to commit, simply an opportunity for us both to explore whether this is the right place both for you and for me. Please feel free to call, text or email me whenever you feel ready.
In Person or Online
I offer therapy both in person in NW6 and online. My consulting room is a calm, private space within easy reach of West Hampstead, Kilburn, Queen’s Park and Maida Vale and Camden. Fees are £70–£85 per session.
