About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified (Msc in Counselling and Supervision) and I am accredited counsellor (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø) with over 25 years experience. I work with both individual clients and couples ( I am a Relate Qualified Relationship Therapist) I have a wide range of clients and while there are many themes for example loss, trauma, crisis, ongoing mental health difficulties, relationship issues, life events or changes, each client is unique when they come to therapy.
Our mental health is one of the most important things to us all, and so this is why it is important for anyone stepping into counselling or therapy, they feel their wellbeing is in safe hands. I believe because of my experience, qualifications and the person I have grown to be, I am those safe hands.
Practice description
I am based in North Belfast, I offer both in person and remote sessions via video call.
My room is within a business park, has free parking and is fully accessible on the ground floor.
My first session
I encourage clients when thinking about attending their first sessions with me to think of it as a stand alone session. This way each client has the opportunity , to make sure they feel comfortable with me . We can have a conversation about the issues that brings the client to counselling, and ask any questions they want to ask about my experience or the way I work with clients. Then they can make an informed decision about choosing to continue with further sessions.

About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a clinical supervisor for 20 years. I work with counsellors in private practice and also provide external clinical supervision for counsellors working within organisations, and students training as counsellors.
I also provide external clinical/therapeutic supervision for non counselling staff who provide therapeutic support within their organisation.
My first session
I have experience of supervising individual counsellors/therapists who are working both within agencies and also those in private practice.
As an integrative therapist this way of working also fits within my supervision of supervisee's who are often working with more than one model of therapy.
I feel I have a broad range of experience as both therapist, couples therapist and supervisor to bring to my work with supervisees.
