About me and my therapy practice

Jody Jones

Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Registered M糖心官网 (Accred)

I offer a confidential and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and able to explore what is troubling you at your own pace. I provide online therapy for individuals and couples, with weekday and evening appointments available, with my last session each day at 8:00 PM.

As a qualified and accredited integrative therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I bring over 30 years of experience supporting adults, couples, children, and families. I am also a qualified child play therapist and have worked extensively with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally numb, or struggling to make sense of certain patterns in your life. You might be dealing with loss, significant life changes, or the impact of past experiences that continue to affect you in the present.

You may be asking yourself:

  • Why do I feel stuck or unable to move forward?
  • Why do I keep repeating the same patterns?
  • Why do I feel unheard, misunderstood, or disconnected?
  • How can I feel more confident, stable, and in control of my life?

Whatever you are facing, counselling offers a space to explore your thoughts and emotions safely, without judgement. At times, present difficulties can connect to earlier experiences or unresolved feelings, and therapy can help you begin to make sense of these links.

Through our work together, you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself, process difficult emotions, and begin to make meaningful and lasting changes. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe and consistent space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace.

I believe that you already have the capacity for change. My role is to support and guide you in understanding yourself more fully and moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. I do not believe there is a 鈥渙ne size fits all鈥 approach to therapy, and I will work with you in a way that feels supportive, appropriate, and effective for you.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to speak openly, without fear of judgement. Building trust is an important part of the process, and I work at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Sessions offer the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences more deeply. At times this may involve reflecting on patterns, past experiences, or relationships, and how these may be affecting you in the present. Where helpful, I may gently challenge or offer different perspectives to support you in making sense of your experiences.

I recognise that starting therapy can feel daunting, and I will work with you in a way that feels containing and respectful of your boundaries. You are always in control of what you choose to share.

Over time, therapy can help you to develop greater self-awareness, process difficult emotions, and make changes that feel meaningful and lasting.

For OCD...

For individuals struggling with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related symptoms, I offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the evidence-based treatment recognised as most effective for OCD. I support clients to gradually face feared situations while reducing compulsive behaviours, helping to break the cycle of anxiety. In my experience, clients often experience meaningful reductions in anxiety and OCD symptoms over time.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. I currently provide online therapy sessions for individuals and couples, with weekday and evening appointments available. My last session each day is at 8:00 PM (20:00).

As a qualified and accredited integrative therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I bring 30 years of experience supporting adults, couples, children, and families. I am also a qualified child play therapist and have worked extensively with vulnerable individuals.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or emotionally numb. Perhaps you recognize certain patterns in your life that you wish to change.

- Do you want to feel happier, healthier, and more confident?

- Do you struggle with loss, significant life changes, or unresolved past trauma?

- Do you find it difficult to develop healthy relationships or break free from negative patterns?

- Do you feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood?

Whatever challenges you鈥檙e facing, counselling offers a space to explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Often, present losses or disappointments can awaken past unresolved trauma, leading to low self-worth.

Through therapy, you can begin to understand yourself more deeply, process emotions, and rebuild self-confidence. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe, accepting space where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment. Releasing emotions in this way can lead to profound and positive changes in your life.

I believe that you already have the capacity for change. My role is to support and guide you on your journey to self-discovery and growth.
