About me and my therapy practice
If you’re neurodivergent (or suspect that you might be) and feel that anxiety, low self-esteem or low mood is draining the joy out of everyday life, then finding a therapist who understands that you might need something different from traditional counselling can feel like a challenge.
You know that you want things to feel different, but the thought of having to make lots of eye contact, monitor what your body is doing and name your feelings when you rarely have the words for them seems like a big ask.
I want you to know that not all therapy is the same.
I am an Autistic neuroaffirming LGBTQ+ ally with 18 years of experience.
Anxiety can show up as a response to the situations, environments and systems we exist in and how it can impact living life to the fullest, including affecting the ability to attend formal education or feel at home in the workplace and social settings.
How I work
I believe that therapy needs to be done differently to support anxious and neurodivergent people, and because of this, I use a range of approaches that have been developed in partnership with other anxious and neurodivergent people.
These approaches include:
- Using immersive technologies to help people who may wish to try something different to traditional talking therapy, with Minecraft Therapy coming soon
Guided imagery and creative approaches like writing, drawing or making that don't always require words or explanations
Talking therapy that is structured to meet your needs
If you are looking for a space to work things through, develop personalised strategies and process what might be happening, then counselling can provide the space to make that possible.
At the heart of my work is a belief that we all have the capacity to reach our full potential with the right support.

Practice description
My room is wheelchair accessible and peaceful.
Before we meet, I'll send over some questions about your sensory preferences so that the room can be adapted to suit your needs. (Ear defenders, sensory tools and no eye contact are all welcome here!)
My first session
Your first session is a chance for you and I to see how we might work together. I will ask questions about what has brought you to counselling, where you have come from (your past) and where you would like to be.
We will work through how you'd like to work together, and I'll share some of the approaches we could use.

Practice description
My approach to supervision is deeply relational. I believe in building a collaborative, transparent environment where curiosity and deep exploration form the basis of our work together.
I believe that as therapists, we are whole people and therefore work in a way that holds all of these different parts:
- There is space to explore how our own personal histories can push up against what clients may be bringing to client work, and how to hold this
- Direct reflections from your therapy room
- Organisational dynamics
- The working relationship we build together
Supervision can be a space to laugh, cry and celebrate so that clients can be held and supported in the most appropriate ways.
I offer flexible supervision sessions starting from one hour a month, which can take place in person or online.
I offer supervision to trainees at a concessionary rate of £40 per hour.
