About me and my therapy practice

I am an accredited Integrative Counsellor and qualified Clinical Supervisor. As an integrative practitioner, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Theory. This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. Depending on what feels most helpful, I may also incorporate mindfulness-based practices, guided visualisation, and creative therapeutic techniques to support reflection, emotional processing, and personal growth.

I support individuals across a wide range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, stress, trauma, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional wellbeing. I have worked with adults experiencing domestic abuse, childhood trauma, grief, and complex emotional difficulties, as well as those seeking greater self-understanding and personal development.

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent individuals and families. Drawing on both professional knowledge and lived experience as a neurodivergent person and parent of neurodivergent children, I bring an informed and compassionate understanding of challenges relating to identity, relationships, parenting, education, sensory differences, navigating a world that is not always designed with neurodivergent people in mind.

I support parents experiencing postnatal depression and anxiety, helping to navigate the emotional challenges that can arise during pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. Together, we can explore feelings of overwhelm, loss of identity, self-doubt, and the pressures of parenting, supporting you to reconnect with yourself and build confidence in your role.

I have experience working within drug and alcohol recovery, supporting individuals in recovery and family affected by addiction.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an accredited Integrative Counsellor and qualified Clinical Supervisor. I have worked as a counsellor since 2017 and have been practising as a Clinical Supervisor since 2022. I hold a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision, including face-to-face, online, and telephone supervision. I am a member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and NCPS, with over 9 years experience working in private practice.

I offer a supportive, collaborative, and reflective space for counsellors from all theoretical orientations and at every stage of their professional journey. Whether you are a student counsellor, newly qualified practitioner, working within an organisation, or established in private practice, I aim to provide supervision that is both supportive and appropriately challenging. My goal is to help you develop confidence, deepen your reflective practice, and support the best possible outcomes for your clients.

I have a particular interest in supporting counsellors who are developing, establishing, or growing a private practice. Through my own experience of building a successful private practice, I understand both the rewards and challenges of working independently, including the isolation that can sometimes be experienced without the support of a wider team. Alongside clinical supervision, I can offer guidance on developing a practice that reflects your values, navigating self-employment, and strengthening your professional identity.

I also have a passion for supporting student counsellors. I understand that starting placement can feel both exciting and daunting, and I enjoy helping students develop their counselling skills, build confidence in their client work, and find their own way of practising. My aim is to provide a safe and encouraging space where learning, reflection, and growth can take place.

Practice description

My approach is grounded in the belief that the supervisory relationship is central to effective practice. I aim to create a safe, warm, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your client work, professional development, ethical considerations, and personal responses with confidence.

I draw upon Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Creative approaches. In supervision, I utilise the Seven-Eyed Model and the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), supporting you to consider the multiple relationships and dynamics present within your client work. Alongside traditional supervisory approaches, I may incorporate creative methods to support reflection, insight, and professional development.

Together, we may explore:

• Your relationship with your clients

• The therapeutic process and interventions

• Ethical and professional considerations

• Client risk and safeguarding concerns

• The wider systems and contexts affecting your clients

• Your development, confidence, and wellbeing as a counsellor

My supervision practice is informed by the ethical frameworks of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and NCPS, ensuring that our work remains ethical, reflective, and client centred.

I am committed to working in an inclusive and anti-oppressive way and welcome clients and supervisees from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

I offer short and long term supervision, I can offer ad hoc supervision, subject to availability. Supervision can be as monthly or bi weekly depending on your needs.

My aim is to provide a compassionate and professional space where you feel supported, appropriately challenged, and empowered in your work. I take time to understand your therapeutic approach, helping you feel safe to bring all aspects of your client work into supervision.
