About me and my therapy practice
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, carrying a lot on your own and trying to stay strong for everyone else, this can be a space where you don’t have to do that alone.
I am an accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist MÌÇÐĹÙÍø (Accred), offering a warm, supportive and culturally aware space for adults navigating life’s challenges.
I work with clients from all backgrounds, with a particular understanding of the experiences of Black and minority communities. This can include navigating identity, cultural expectations, systemic pressures and the emotional impact of feeling unseen or carrying responsibilities alone.
I support clients with relationship challenges; including intimate relationships, friendships and family dynamics as well as identity, self-worth, life transitions, workplace stress and the impact of past experiences or trauma.
As a mother, I understand the emotional demands of holding responsibility for others while trying to care for yourself. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own.
My approach is relational and tailored to you. I aim to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you feel heard, respected and supported at your own pace.
Practice description
I offer one-to-one online therapy sessions for adults in a safe and confidential space.
Clients often come to me when they are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of their experiences. This may include navigating relationships, identity, cultural expectations, anxiety, low mood, or life changes.
My work focuses on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel able to explore your experiences openly and honestly. Together, we can make sense of what you are going through, understand patterns and work towards meaningful change or acceptance.
I use an integrative approach, adapting how I work depending on your needs. This may include reflective talking therapy, exploring past and present experiences and where appropriate, introducing practical tools to support you outside of sessions.
Sessions are weekly short term or long term, but we can agree a pace that feels manageable for you.
I offer both standard and limited low-cost spaces, please feel free to enquire about current availability if you're seeking low cost spaces.
My first session
I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, so the first session is a gentle space for us to get to know each other.
We will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with and what you hope to gain. You are welcome to share at your own pace; there is no pressure to go into everything straight away.
I will ask some initial questions to understand your background and current challenges, which helps me tailor the support to your needs. This session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and whether I feel like the right fit for you.
If helpful, we can begin to identify small, practical steps or areas of focus moving forward.
