Availability
I offer flexible appointment times and currently have availability for new clients. Alongside weekday appointments, I also offer some evening and weekend sessions to accommodate those with work, family, or other commitments. I aim to provide appointments that fit around your schedule wherever possible.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor who also integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques where appropriate, tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe that everyone is unique, and I work collaboratively with you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable.
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, addiction, and other emotional challenges. I also have specialist experience working with people affected by drug and alcohol misuse, whether they are currently struggling with addiction or are in recovery.
I offer face-to-face counselling in Berkhamsted and Amersham, as well as online sessions via Zoom or FaceTime, providing flexibility to suit your needs. My aim is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can work towards greater understanding, resilience, and positive change.
Practice description
I offer a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement. To ensure each client receives the time, attention, and care they deserve, I intentionally limit the number of clients I work with and engage in regular clinical supervision to support safe and ethical practice.
Alongside face-to-face and online counselling, I can also offer telephone sessions where appropriate, providing flexibility to meet your individual needs.
My hope is that you will feel comfortable and supported in bringing whatever is affecting you into our sessions. I will work alongside you with empathy, honesty, and respect, helping you to gain greater self-awareness, build resilience, and move towards the changes that are important to you.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what has brought you to counselling, complete an initial assessment, and explore any concerns or goals you may have. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about the counselling process.
I will explain how I work, including confidentiality and its limits, so you know what to expect. There is no pressure to talk about everything in the first session—we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
At the end of the session, we can discuss whether you feel we are the right fit to work together and, if so, agree on the next steps and arrange future sessions.
