About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor working privately out of York city centre. I can offer face to face, online or telephone sessions to adults (18+).

I also work with the Charity organisations; Sporting Chance and York Women's Counselling Service (YWCS).

In the main I offer a talking therapy and I will also draw upon other approaches and techniques to help you unpack what is going on for you. My aim is to make you feel heard and understood and you can expect care and respect as we do so. Sessions are always conducted in a safe and confidential space.

Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, anxious or confused by recent or past life events. You may feel stuck; finding yourself making the same unhelpful life choices or struggle with relationships, repeating negative patterns.

You may just need the space to find some self healing and acceptance. It is not my place to tell you what you need to do, rather we will work together to help you find clarity, move forward and regain control.

I have lots of experience in helping clients to regulate and work with presenting issues (such as anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, depression, shame, crisis) which has then led to us processing significant life experiences / events (such as trauma, grief, relationships and childhood).

I attend regular CPD events to deepen my understanding and to further support clients. I have a keen interest in Trauma, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory and Neurodivergence.

I am also in the process of becoming an accredited member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø.
