I work throughout the day and I am able to offer evening and weekend appointments.

I work with a person centred approach however I am aware that this is not suitable for all clients and will endeavour to use other approaches as agreed with each individual client.

I have been qualified as person centred counsellor since 2005.

I have worked as a qualified mental health nurse in various environments since 1984 and have recently retired from full time employment with the NHS.  

I work using a person centred model and aim to allow you to look at  whatever problems or worries you bring  in a safe environment where you will not be judged, your voice will be heard & you will receive empathic and congruent responses.

I will aim to put you at ease and we can look at what has brought you to counselling. This is the time to see if we are able to work together before we enter in to a counselling contract. There is no pressure to make a second appointment, I am happy for you to go away and think about how it has gone and if we are the right fit for each other. If I feel that I do not have the skills to work with you I am always happy to refer you to another therapist.
