About me and my therapy practice
​You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Perhaps past experiences are still affecting you, or the anxiety about the future is making it hard to stay in the present. You don't have to navigate this on your own. I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore what's going on for you at your pace. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, build coping strategies, and help you move forward towards the life you want.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including behavioural and trauma focused therapies, and tailor my work to suit your individual needs.
My ten years of experience include working in community settings and offender care services, supporting people with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including complex trauma. This has deepened my understanding of how different life experiences shape us. Whatever you are going through, no problem is too big or too small to bring into therapy.
Practice description
I offer a comprehensive therapeutic assessment to understand your current difficulties, how they have developed, and how they are affecting your life.
This includes exploring patterns of thinking, feeling and relating, as well as what you hope to move forward through therapy.
There is no expectation to go into detail about past experiences before safety and trust are established. The focus is on understanding where you are now and what is needed to begin the work.
This allows us to develop a clear and tailored plan for therapy. As a result, sessions are focused, and you are able to track your progress and work through any setbacks
My first session
I offer a free 20 min initial consultation to discuss what you are currently struggling with and what you are looking for from therapy.
This provides and opportunity to consider whether the way I work feels like a good fit for you.
Following this you can choose to begin therapy or arrange a more in-depth assessment to develop a tailored plan.
