About me and my therapy practice
I consider it a privilege to work as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, supporting people through life's challenges and helping them move towards greater understanding, resilience, and wellbeing.
I work with young adults and adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, work-related stress, family challenges, life transitions, and issues relating to identity and self-esteem. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to provide a space where you can feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.
My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy, which means I see you as the expert in your own life. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences, recognise your strengths, and discover what feels right for you. Through thoughtful exploration and reflection, we can develop a deeper understanding of the challenges you face and identify meaningful ways forward when we move towards a more Solution focused Therapy style.
Clients often tell me they value my warmth, empathy, and ability to understand their perspective. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I strive to create an environment where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can gain clarity, build confidence, and create lasting positive change in your life.
Practice description
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a space to explore what's happening and find a way forward.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly at your own pace. Together, we will explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and work towards the changes that matter most to you.
I currently offer counselling remotely via Google Meet and also with scheduled face-to-face sessions depending on your proximity or availability.
My first session
What to Expect from Your First Session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a therapeutic relationship. We will spend some time discussing your background, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process.
Before our first appointment, I usually arrange a brief telephone call (with your consent) of around 10 minutes. This gives you an opportunity to share your presenting concerns, ask any initial questions, and discuss what you are looking for from therapy. It also helps us explore whether my approach is the right fit for your needs and ensures we can establish realistic and ethical expectations from the outset.
The first session is not about having all the answers or sharing everything at once. You are welcome to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will begin to explore your goals and consider how therapy can best support you.
In the event that your needs fall outside my area of competence or therapeutic expertise, I will discuss this openly with you and, where appropriate, provide information about alternative services or colleagues who may be better placed to support you.

About me and my therapy practice
I consider it a privilege to support counsellors and psychotherapists in their professional development through supervision. My aim is to provide a safe, collaborative, and reflective space where supervisees feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow in both confidence and competence.
My approach to supervision is grounded in Person-Centred values. I believe that effective supervision is built on a trusting relationship where supervisees can openly explore their clinical work, celebrate successes, reflect on challenges, and deepen their understanding of themselves as practitioners. I view supervision as a partnership that promotes curiosity, ethical awareness, professional accountability, and ongoing learning.
Alongside support and encouragement, I offer thoughtful challenge where appropriate, helping supervisees reflect critically on their practice, consider different perspectives, and develop their clinical skills. I aim to create an environment where supervisees feel able to discuss uncertainties, ethical dilemmas, professional concerns, and areas for development without fear of judgement.
As a reflective practitioner, I am committed to continual professional development and bringing current knowledge, self-awareness, and ethical practice into my work. One of my strengths is my ability to understand situations from different perspectives, supporting supervisees to gain greater clarity and confidence in their decision-making and therapeutic relationships.
Whether you are a trainee counsellor, newly qualified practitioner, or an experienced therapist seeking a supportive supervisory relationship, I strive to offer a warm, respectful, and professionally grounded space that supports both your development and the wellbeing of the clients you serve.
Practice description
Supervision provides a dedicated space to reflect on your clinical work, develop your professional practice, and ensure the wellbeing of both yourself and the clients you support. Whether you are navigating complex client presentations, ethical dilemmas, professional challenges, or simply seeking a space for reflection and growth, supervision can help you gain clarity and confidence in your work.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental supervisory environment where you can think openly about your practice. My approach is grounded in Person-Centred values, and I believe that effective supervision is built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. Rather than positioning myself as the expert, I work alongside supervisees to encourage reflection, self-awareness, and professional development.
I welcome trainee, newly qualified, and experienced practitioners seeking a space to explore their client work, strengthen their clinical skills, and develop confidence in their professional judgement. Through reflective dialogue, supportive challenge, and ethical consideration, I aim to help supervisees build on their strengths, navigate difficulties, and continue growing as practitioners.
Above all, I strive to create a supervisory relationship where you feel genuinely heard, respected, supported, and appropriately challenged in your professional development.
My first session
Your First Supervision Session
I see our first supervision session as an opportunity to begin building a professional relationship based on trust, openness, and collaboration.
Before we meet, I usually offer a brief telephone conversation to discuss your supervision needs and answer any questions you may have. This gives us both an opportunity to consider whether we are a good fit for working together, we then move to contracting.
During our first session, I will invite you to tell me about your practice, your experience as a practitioner, your theoretical approach, and what you hope to gain from supervision. We will explore your strengths, areas for development, and any current challenges or questions arising from your client work.
My aim is to provide a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space where you can think openly about your practice, develop confidence in your clinical decision-making, and continue to grow as a practitioner. Supervision should be a place where you feel both supported and appropriately challenged, always with the wellbeing of your clients and your professional development in mind.
Most importantly, our first session is an opportunity for us to decide whether we can build a supervisory relationship that feels safe, constructive, and beneficial for your growth.
