WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE DO I SEE?
Clients often come to me when they are thrown one of life’s awful curve balls. They are usually thoughtful, articulate people who get things done and cope. But then something hits them and they realise that they need a bit of help to start enjoying life again.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?
I have nearly a decade of therapy experience, and I know what’s needed to create a friendly, comfortable space where clients feel relaxed enough to find the right words to describe exactly how they’re feeling and express things they haven’t quite articulated before. And then, together, we will notice patterns and work out how to dismantle the ones that aren’t working for you any more.

HOW DO I WORK?
When we’ve worked out what is getting you down, I’ll be able to offer you frameworks and approaches that will help you see the problem more clearly. Then we can explore practical ideas that will work for you and help you feel better again.

I use my experience and training to support clients to feel empowered to make changes and live life more fully.  Whatever you share with me will be treated respectfully and in confidence.

I offer flexible working patterns. Your time is also valuable so I try to ensure that my patients have gained something useful in every session.

COUPLES
I love helping couples navigate towards better communication and connection. Whether you're navigating a crisis, arguing or struggling to connect with your partner, then I have experience of successfully helping couples form stronger and more satisfying partnerships.

Practice description

WHERE DO I WORK?
I offer effective and affordable online or phone counselling.

I also work with couples and individuals face-to-face in Chiswick, London, W4 and Ealing, London W5. My rooms in Chiswick and Ealing are comfortable and airy. I have extensive training on working online. I often work on Zoom, but I am happy to use Facebook or other platforms.

MY QUALIFICATIONS
I am a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø accredited counsellor and have a first class BSC Hons degree in Humanistic Counselling. This means I draw on a number of different approaches and techniques and tailor the way I work to what suits you best. I am trained to work with couples, having undertaken National Council of Psychotherapist approved training.

MY SPECIALISMS - INFERTILITY AND MISCARRIAGE
Many years ago I had had multiple IVF rounds, miscarriages, surgeries and navigated donor conception. I thought I was coping pretty well, then I had a heartbreaking still birth. I was fortunate enough to be offered a course of therapy sessions with an amazing counsellor, that made a world difference to me. So much so, that I eventually retrained to be a counsellor.

I work with an IVF clinic in central London and a number of baby loss charities.

I see clients for a huge range of issues, but my experience has lead me to specialise in supporting men, women and couples through pregnancy, baby loss, infertility struggles, miscarriages, IVF, donor conception, termination and surrogacy. I know how profoundly these things can effect your well being and relationships.

OTHER SPECIALISMS
I see clients with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, low mood and bereavement.

I have experience helping neurodivergent clients navigate challenges.

How childhood experiences impact us as adults is also an area I'm interested in, with a particular leaning towards supporting people whose experience at school impacts them today, particularly those who attended boarding school.

My first session

WHAT HAPPENS IN A FIRST SESSION?
There is no need to prepare for our sessions. First sessions can be daunting, so I will do my best to put you at your ease and explain how I work and what you can expect. I will usually have some questions to help me understand why you have come to therapy now.

We will discuss what you'd like to achieve and how to best achieve that together.I offer a free introductory telephone conversation – it is a opportunity for you to ask questions and decide if I’m the right therapist for you. You will have the chance to tell me a little bit about yourself, how things are for you at the moment and what brings you to therapy. There is no need to do any preparation.
