About me and my therapy practice
I am a bilingual integrative counsellor. My foundation is Person Centred therapy which means that the sessions are based around you, you being the focus at all times. This allows us to focus on your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviour as well as your experiences. I am also a CBT practitioner. CBT is a type of talking therapy that helps people understand and change their negative thought patterns and behaviours and the impact they have on life. I will create a safe space which is free from judgement for your ease in opening up about the difficulties that you're experiencing. My role is to help, guide and support your journey to understand yourself and gain awareness. The sessions are led by what you bring to the sessions.
Practice description
If you find it difficult to talk or open up about your feelings and emotions, or need help to identify them, then I can offer sessions that will help you to explore solutions or strategies that will help you on your journey. Together we will work through your issues that you are presenting with and work at your pace.
In your therapy sessions I can help you to explore and gain understanding and create a safe space to identify change and gain self-awareness.
I am an experienced counsellor specialising in Person Centred Therapy as well as being a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) practitioner. I have worked with children, young people, adults and families for over 20 years in a helping and therapeutic capacity exploring difficulties and working together to find solutions and strategies.
My first session
I will offer a free short telephone conversation to look at setting up the first session. During the first session I will take this time to gain more information to help create a unique and tailored contract for the therapy which will include information about ÌÇÐĹÙÍø (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), confidentiality, contact information - how to contact each other i.e. text, email, phone call, payment details, how to manage missed appointments, aims of counselling and commitment by both counsellor and client.

About me and my therapy practice
My supervision is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, providing a reflective, collaborative, and supportive space for practitioners. Rather than focusing solely on the client, we explore the therapeutic relationship, your internal responses, interventions, wider organisational and systemic influences, and the parallel processes that may be present. This holistic approach helps deepen awareness, enhance clinical thinking, strengthen ethical decision-making, and support your professional growth while ensuring safe and effective practice. My aim is to create a supervision relationship that is both supportive and appropriately challenging, encouraging reflection, resilience, and confidence in your work.Practice description
I offer counselling, CBT and clinical supervision in both Welsh and English, with a strong commitment to providing a safe, collaborative and culturally sensitive space for reflection and growth.
My supervision practice is grounded in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which allows us to explore not only the client work itself, but also the therapeutic relationship, your internal responses, interventions, organisational influences and any parallel processes that may be presen. This holistic framework supports deeper clinical understanding, ethical decision-making and sustainable professional development.
I work in a trauma-informed, relational and reflective way, recognising the importance of the practitioner’s wellbeing alongside effective client care. Supervision with me is intended to be both supportive and appropriately challenging, helping you develop confidence, resilience and clarity in your practice.
I welcome counsellors, CBT practitioners and other helping professionals at different stages of their professional journey. Areas of particular interest include trauma, attachment, anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, safeguarding and the impact of culture and language on the therapeutic process.
As a bilingual practitioner, I understand the significance of being able to think, feel and communicate in one’s preferred language. I am therefore able to offer supervision and counselling through the medium of English and Welsh where this reflects the client’s authentic voice.
My aim is to create a warm, respectful and professionally grounded environment where practitioners feel able to bring both the strengths and the challenges of their work, with the shared goal of providing safe, ethical and effective support for clients.
My first session
The first supervision session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether we are a good fit for working together. We will discuss your professional background, current practice, areas of confidence and any challenges you would like supervision to support.
We will review the supervision agreement, including confidentiality, record keeping, ethical responsibilities, boundaries and contracting. This is also an opportunity to discuss your supervision needs, preferred way of working, frequency of sessions and any organisational or accreditation requirements.
Together, we will establish clear goals for supervision and begin to build a collaborative relationship based on trust, openness and reflective practice. My aim is to provide a supportive and appropriately challenging environment where you feel safe to explore your work, develop your clinical thinking and enhance your professional confidence.
Please feel free to ask any questions during this session to ensure you have all the information you need before we begin working together.
