About me and my therapy practice
My practice as a therapist covers issues relating to extreme trauma and strong emotions and feeling that may be attached to your trauma. I also cover areas such as health anxiety and social anxiety and depression, and other complex issues that may be causing you issues. I have also worked with other complexed problems such as , OCD, ADHD and relationship issues that have been impacted by these issues. The importance in challenging your fears and thoughts helps you to find a new and health balance that fits in with your new learning, about yourself within the sessions. My practice as a therapist is seen has a collaboration relationship, helping you towards an outcome that helps you to deal with daily issues. I also use educational tools to help you gain information you need to further support yourself and gain control of these difficult feeling and thoughts, that are sometimes difficult to let go.
Therapy help you to create a space to deal with your overwhelming feeling and emotions and CBT gives you the tools to help you deal with triggers that will normally be missed when stressed. I am also an experience mindfulness practitioner and use these skills to help you to hold difficult thoughts and feeling on a deeper level. My counselling practice also contains the use of brief therapy (6 session) or longer CBT sessions (12 to 18 sessions). both practices help you to focus on issues that you may be finding difficult to talk with family and friends.
Practice description
I am trained in both Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person Centred (PC) modalities to help you to deal with your feeling and thoughts that you are finding difficult. I work in a calm and supportive way to help you gain the confidence to deal with difficult feeling and emotions that come up for you. Both models use skills such as, empathy, non-judgemental, and a safe space to help you to gain a more in-depth understanding of these difficult feeling and thoughts that can overwhelm you at times. My practice is based in Liverpool city centre and close to local transport and parking areas (L28TD). MY work is mainly face to face sessions and on line sessions using (TEAMS). I am an experienced on line therapist with over 10 years experience, to help you gain the best possible experience on-line. My practice also covers the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø guidelines for practicing counselling and supporting your well being.
My first session
The first session covers all the normal processes around assessment and you telling your story and the direction you would like to travel. Counselling is about you and what you would like to gain from therapy, to help support any difficult issues that come up for you daily.
