About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced bilingual psychotherapist working with couples and individuals both in the UK and internationally. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through relationships, both in our personal lives and within the therapeutic relationship itself.

I trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and completed advanced specialist training in couples therapy at Tavistock Relationships, including Mentalisation-Based Treatment for Couples Therapy (MBT-CT). Alongside this, I have undertaken specialist training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps couples understand the emotional patterns that keep them stuck and find new ways of connecting with one another.

Having lived and worked across different cultures, I am particularly interested in the ways family history, culture, identity, and life experiences shape our relationships. I offer therapy in both English and Italian and welcome clients from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.

Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult experiences at your own pace and feel genuinely heard and understood.

Whether you are coming to therapy as an individual or as a couple, my aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, so that lasting change and greater emotional connection become possible.

Practice description

Most couples don’t come to therapy because they have stopped caring. They come because they are hurting, feeling stuck in painful patterns, and unable to find their way back to each other.

Perhaps you find yourselves having the same arguments repeatedly, feeling increasingly distant, or struggling to understand one another despite your best efforts. You may feel lonely in your relationship, misunderstood, or caught between wanting closeness and feeling unable to reach each other. Beneath the conflict, silence, or frustration, there is often a longing to feel loved, valued, understood, and emotionally connected.

I work with couples experiencing relationship difficulties, communication problems, emotional disconnection, affairs and betrayals, loss of intimacy, life transitions, parenting challenges, and ongoing conflict. Together, we explore the patterns that keep you stuck, helping you understand the emotions and needs that lie beneath them. As new understanding develops, couples often find themselves able to communicate more openly, respond to each other differently, and rebuild trust, closeness, and connection.

Alongside my work with couples, I also support individuals who are struggling with relationship difficulties. Therapy provides an opportunity to reflect on your experiences, make sense of recurring difficulties, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

My approach integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I pay attention not only to what is happening in the present but also to how earlier experiences may continue to shape the ways we relate to ourselves and others. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable, providing a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space in which meaningful change can take place.

My first session

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, and it is natural to feel uncertain about what to expect.

The first session is not about being assessed or judged; it is about understanding what has brought you here and whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you.

Our initial meeting provides an opportunity for us to begin exploring the difficulties you are experiencing, what you hope might change, and any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process.

If you are attending as a couple, we will start to understand the patterns that may be contributing to distress in your relationship and explore what each of you hopes to achieve through therapy. If you are attending individually, we will explore your concerns and consider how therapy may support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work. Feeling safe, understood, and comfortable with your therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I welcome any questions you may have.

At the end of our meeting, we can reflect together on whether ongoing therapy feels appropriate and discuss the next steps should you decide to continue.
