About me and my therapy practice
It can be daunting finding the right therapist, especially when you're in need of immediate support. I am a compassionate, fully qualified and insured ÌÇÐĹÙÍø accredited counselling psychotherapist. I work with adults experiencing distress - such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship problems, self-esteem and childhood issues - in the strictest confidence.
Alongside my private practice, I work as Counselling for Depression therapist in the NHS and have previously worked with young people in the charitable sector and older adults in long-term care. I am accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
I trained for over seven years at leading universities in the field and was awarded a Master's degree with Distinction in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also hold a First-Class degree in Applied Psychology. My previous career was in science communication at the BBC specializing in childhood, adolescence and families. I am currently a member of the British Psychological Society's Media Ethics Advisory Group.
Practice description
I work with adults over 18 years old. I am an integrative relational therapist which means that I draw on different theoretical models (such as Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Compassion-Focussed) about how we relate to ourselves, to others and the world around us.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø), I am committed to ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and supervision of my clinical practice. I also abide by the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø's 'Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions'.

My first session
Following an initial 20 minute free consultation to determine if we are a good 'fit' we would agree an initial schedule of sessions - usually 8 - 12 weeks - after which we can discuss the option of further sessions. Each session lasts 50 minutes during which time I will help you to express and explore your concerns and we will work together towards meaningful change.
