To help you feel comfortable and make an informed decision, I offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone conversation. This introductory call gives us the opportunity to connect, discuss your needs, and explore how we might work together.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling uncertain or overwhelmed? Do you find yourself stuck in familiar patterns, struggling to make meaningful changes in your life?

My name is Anji, and I am a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor based in Markyate, Hertfordshire. I approach my work with empathy, warmth and genuine curiosity, drawing upon my extensive training to support you every step of the way.

In addition to my private practice, I provide short-term counselling for NHS staff through an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering professional support in challenging times.

I am passionate about psychodynamic psychotherapy, a thoughtful approach that enables us to explore and understand longstanding patterns of behaviour that may be affecting your life today. By reflecting together on your thoughts, feelings and actions, we can lay the foundation for personal growth, self-acceptance and resolving inner conflicts.

I also offer 'The Rewind' technique, a gentle and effective method for reducing or eliminating involuntary recall, such as flashbacks and nightmares linked to trauma. This process doesn’t require you to talk through the details of your experience and can bring relief in as few as two or three sessions for single traumatic events.

Our sessions will be personalised to your needs, addressing both current challenges and deeper, long-term issues at a pace that works for you.

Counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can reflect, gain clarity, and find light in areas of your life that may feel difficult or overwhelming.

Practice description

I warmly welcome you to sessions held in a private, comfortable, and accessible consulting room within my home. You are encouraged to share openly, knowing you will be met with kindness and without judgement, in a safe space where your voice will be heard and truly understood.

Whether you prefer short-term or long-term support, online or in-person, I offer flexibility to suit your needs, and we will agree together on the best approach at the outset. Our meetings will be scheduled at a consistent time and day each week, either face-to-face or via secure video conferencing, ensuring reliability and continuity in our work together.

As a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, I adhere to their ethical framework, maintaining the highest standards of professional and compassionate practice. I am committed to ongoing professional development, regularly participating in training to ensure my approach remains current and effective.
