Professional Experience & Background
Individual Counselling: I began my career in mental health 20+ years ago assisting individuals navigating addiction and recovery, and subsequently spent five years supporting survivors of sexual abuse while working with Social Services. My work has also involved partnering with carers and service users who experience physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, across a diverse range of cultural and socio‑economic contexts. Since qualifying as a counsellor 10 years ago, I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds, whether facing a crisis or seeking clarity about their future, and accrued more than 4000 + hours of direct counselling work.
Working with Couples: I draw on extensive training, professional experience and whole‑life perspective to pinpoint the core issues between partners. Sessions are dynamic and collaborative; the results depend on the couple’s commitment and willingness to invest in the process.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs): Currently contracted with several EAP providers, delivering confidential counselling for employees facing workplace and personal crises and helping them regain stability and confidence.
