About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and thanks for stopping by.
I’m Laura, an online and telephone-based integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I believe therapy works best when it’s human — honest, grounded, and collaborative. My aim is to create a space where you can speak openly about what’s really going on, without fear of judgment, and work alongside me to find clarity and ways forward that feel right for you.
My Approach
I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to suit your needs rather than fitting you into a model. In our sessions, we’ll explore patterns, reactions, and feelings together — including the parts of your experience that can be confusing, painful, or overwhelming. Therapy with me is client-led, which means we move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
I know therapy can feel daunting or uncomfortable at times — and that’s okay. My goal is to provide a professional, ethical, and confidential space online or by phone where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered to make sense of the challenges you’re facing.
I’ve worked with clients across a wide range of issues and life stages, including children, young people, adults, and older adults. My experience spans schools, hospices, hospitals, and community settings, which allows me to bring insight and flexibility to our work together.
My current specialisms include:
Traumatic bereavement and complex grief
Suicide prevention
Trauma, abuse, and recovery
Anxiety and depression
Personality difficulties
Family breakdowns and relationship challenges

About My Practice
Life can throw challenges at us — illness, relationship breakdowns, career changes, bereavement, or past trauma. These experiences can feel overwhelming, leaving us unsure how to manage day-to-day life. Sometimes what helps most is an external perspective — a compassionate, non-judgmental listener who can help you untangle your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I know it can feel difficult to reach out for support, but taking that step can make a meaningful difference.
I offer one-to-one therapy sessions online or by telephone, giving you the flexibility to access support from wherever you are. My aim is to create a safe, confidential space where you can explore what’s on your mind, reflect on your experiences, and find ways forward that work for you.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and understand what’s bringing you to therapy. This is a space to talk openly about where you’re struggling and explore how I can best support you.
We’ll also discuss your goals, priorities, and any patterns or challenges you’ve noticed in your life. This helps us focus our work together in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to you.
Above all, the first session is about building trust and creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable moving forward.
Professional Commitment
I am committed to providing a welcoming, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for clients from all backgrounds. I believe that with reflection, support, and empathy, positive change is possible — and my role is to help you find the clarity, resilience, and understanding that work for you.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and thanks for being here
I’m Laura, a clinical supervisor and practising integrative counsellor, offering supervision in Dartford, online, and by phone. I see supervision as a lifeline for therapists — a space to reflect honestly on your work, explore what’s landing (and what isn’t), and navigate the emotional and professional complexities of client work together. I pay attention to dynamics like countertransference and aim to help you make sense of it all in a collaborative, supportive way.
Supervision with me isn’t about ticking boxes or rehearsing theory. It’s about creating a real, working relationship where you can bring both successes and challenges, explore patterns, and reflect on the impact of your work — professionally and personally. My approach is relational, open, and grounded, helping you grow as a confident, reflective, and ethically aware practitioner.
Practice description
I’ve worked with clients across trauma, bereavement, anxiety, and many other complex presentations. My clinical experience spans schools, hospices, community services, and private practice, giving me insight into a wide range of settings and client needs. I bring this breadth into supervision, alongside ongoing work in areas like traumatic bereavement and suicide prevention.
I understand that therapeutic work can be emotionally intense. My supervision creates a space that is honest, grounded, and constructive — supporting you to navigate challenges, stay resilient, and deepen your confidence and clarity as a practitioner.
My first session
I offer a 20-minute initial session free of charge. This allows us to get to know each other, check if we’re a good fit, and set the stage for a collaborative, open supervision relationship. I use a clear onboarding process to make sure we’re aligned from the start.
After this initial call, our first full supervision session is scheduled. In that session, we can:
Discuss your goals and what you’d like to get from supervision
Explore your current work and any immediate challenges
Agree on structure, frequency, and style of ongoing sessions
This approach ensures that both of us are aligned from the start and sets the tone for a productive and supportive supervisory relationship
