About me and my therapy practice
I work in a person-centred and integrative way, offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be heard at your own pace.
You may be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about yourself, your relationships, or your direction in life. I aim to support you in making sense of what you’re going through, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself rather than giving advice or quick solutions.
My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, while also drawing on integrative ways of working depending on your needs. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and change, and that meaningful progress can happen when you feel genuinely understood and accepted.
Having lived in different countries, including the UK, Germany, China, and Taiwan, I bring an awareness of how cultural background, identity, and life transitions can shape our experiences. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, including those who may be navigating change, relocation, or a sense of not quite belonging.
Practice description
My aim is to offer a space where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, perhaps in ways you haven’t been able to elsewhere. I work with compassion, curiosity, and without judgement, so that you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly.
Together, we will take time to understand what you are going through at a pace that feels right for you. I see you as the expert in your own life, and rather than directing or advising, I aim to support you in making sense of your experiences and finding your own way forward.
As our work develops, I will follow your lead in terms of pace and focus, allowing space for what feels most important to you. This might include exploring patterns, relationships, or parts of yourself that feel confusing or difficult to put into words.
I understand that coming to therapy can feel daunting, especially when things are painful or uncertain. You don’t have to have everything figured out - we can begin wherever you are.
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, there’s no pressure to have everything prepared or clearly explained.
It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the process, and to get a sense of how it feels to work together.
Most importantly, the first session is for you to decide whether I’m the right therapist for you.
