About me and my therapy practice
*Remote therapy listing - online or telephone*
Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious about food, unsure what to eat, when to eat, or how to do it consistently? Perhaps you feel disconnected from your body, hate how you look, or are stuck in patterns like skipping meals, eating on impulse, or struggling to find any real consistency. You might even feel like you’re failing, despite your efforts, because nothing seems to stick.
If this sounds like you, I am an eating disorder therapist, coach and trainer who supports people to find freedom and self acceptance from distress related to eating, food, weight and body image issues.
Many people I support are neurodivergent, academics and high achieving personalities. Common themes I support people with are:
- Perfectionism, imposter syndrome, burnout, and feeling “not good enoughâ€
- Binge eating, emotional eating, and restrictive or all-or-nothing patterns
- Executive functioning challenges that affect eating and daily routines
- Sensory needs, body disconnection, and finding sustainable ways of eating
In all areas of my work I meet people where they are and support them to find their own solutions so they can live the life they choose.
Practice description
I am a trained integrative psychotherapist and work from a pluralistic framework. This means I value the relationship between us and see our work as a collaboration between us to help you reach your goals.
My work focuses on adapting therapy to you, recognising your strengths, your differences, and what truly works for your brain. If therapy hasn’t worked in the past, it's likely because the approach didn't suit your needs, not because you failed. In reality, many approaches simply aren’t designed with neurodivergent people in mind.
As well as talking, I draw on creative tools, like metaphor and visual mapping to help us make sense of your current situation, imagine where you want to go, and find a path that feels right for you.
Along the way, I offer information and education to equip you with practical tools and knowledge, supporting you in creating a more balanced relationship with food, your body, and yourself.
My work is informed by research, but shaped by you. As a researcher and lecturer, I use evidence-based approaches while trusting your insight, so we can create a plan together that fits you.
I follow the ethical guidelines of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, I have regular supervision, and I engage in ongoing continuing professional and personal development.
My first session
I welcome self referrals through email or through the contact form on my website. I am usually unavailable to take phone calls unless pre-arranged so please email or leave a voicemail with your contact details and I will get back to you with availability for an initial exploratory call.
I offer a free 30-minute exploratory call for you to find out more about the way I work and see if you might like to work with me.
If you want to go ahead, I'll send you my welcome pack and invite you to book a first session where we will explore your reasons for seeking therapy now and how I might be able to help you.
The first session is normally 50-mins and charged at my standard rate of £60.
I also offer an extended 90-minute first session which costs £90.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed and anxious about food or your body? Are you stuck in a cycle of endless diets, then feeling out of control around food. Perhaps you're sick of hating your appearance and feeling like a failure. If so, I am an eating disorder therapist, coach and trainer who supports people to find freedom and self acceptance from distress related to eating, food, weight and body image issues.
I also work with neurodivergent clients, as well as academics and high achieving personalities. Common themes I support people with are low self confidence, low self-esteem, anxiety, imposter syndrome and shame, never feeling good enough and feeling stuck.
As well as talking, my approach involves creative exercises so we can explore where you are, where you want to be, and how we can bridge that gap. I often offer information and education so you can feel empowered with practical skills and knowledge to support you in reaching your goals and developing a healthy relationship with food, your body, and your self.
In all areas of my work I meet people where they are and support them to find their own solutions so they can live the life they choose.
Practice description
I take a humanistic approach to therapy and coaching. I am a trained integrative psychotherapist and work from a pluralistic framework. This means I value the relationship between us and see our work as a collaboration between us.
As a researcher and lecturer in higher education, I care about using research to inform the way I practice, and help us find approaches that work. I also recognise every person is unique and deserves a personalised approach. You know yourself better than anyone so I trust you to guide us as we build a plan together that feels right for you by taking into account your individual needs, preferences and goals.
I follow the ethical guidelines of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, I have regular supervision, and I engage in ongoing continuing professional and personal development.
