My degree in Fine Art informs my counselling practise, allowing me to integrate art-based therapeutic approaches where helpful. I also offer eco-therapy, animal-assisted therapy and music therapy. I tailor support to individual needs by offering flexible ways for children, young people and adults to engage.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am an experienced Humanistic psychotherapeutic counsellor currently working in Dorking. At the heart of Humanistic therapy is the emphasis on simple human relationship being the main source of empowerment and healing. I have faith in the human potential to develop in a positive direction and I believe that with the right support, we all have the capacity for growth and change. Our life experiences affect our perceptions, our way of being and the relationships we have with ourselves, others, and our environment.
I offer counselling to children, young people, young adults and adults. I work in a person-centred way offering a calm, non-judgemental and confidential space. I can help you to make meaning of whatever it is you are struggling with. I take a holistic, creative, and autonomous approach to enable you to process your emotions and your story. My intention is to journey with you to enable you to feel empowered towards living a whole and meaningful life.
Practice description
I hold a diploma in Humanistic psychotherapeutic counselling and a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art. I work with children, young people and adults from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. My passion has been supporting clients to explore their neurodiversity and I believe that everybody, regardless of difference, diversity and circumstance deserves to live an authentic and fulfilling life. I work very creatively, and it is not a technique, but a relational sensitivity that guides me as a therapist. I value everyone as being unique and it is the relationship between myself and the client that is central to the therapeutic process.
To be truly heard and emotionally met where you are in this moment in the present can be a powerful and restorative experience to aid healing. My intention is to offer a safe space where you can explore what it is to be 'you'.
