About me and my therapy practice
I am a Ĺ‑accredited integrative psychotherapist, trained to Level 7, with experience in NHS Primary Care, university counselling services, and private practice. I offer a calm, steady space where you can explore what’s been difficult, make sense of your experiences, and feel supported at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My work is relational and trauma‑informed, grounded in collaboration, attunement, and respect for each person’s individual needs.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor the work to you, paying close attention to safety, pacing, and the emotional impact of past and present experiences. I have particular experience in stress, trauma and intergenerational trauma, addiction, family and relationship difficulties, parenting, identity, and the pressures that come with navigating complex personal or cultural expectations.
Whether you are seeking short‑term support or longer‑term exploration, the aim is to create a space where you can feel understood, reflect deeply, and move towards greater clarity and connection with yourself.
Practice description
People come to therapy for many reasons: feeling overwhelmed or stuck, carrying past experiences that still affect them, navigating relationship or family pressures, or wanting to understand themselves more deeply. You do not need to have the “right words” to begin. We can explore things together in a way that feels manageable and safe.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor the work to your individual needs. I pay close attention to safety and pacing, especially when working with trauma, anxiety, identity concerns, addiction, or long‑standing patterns that are hard to shift.
Some people come for short‑term support around a specific issue; others choose longer‑term therapy to explore deeper themes. My aim is to offer a space where you can feel understood, reflect with clarity, and move towards greater connection with yourself and the life you want to live.
My first session
I usually check availability before arranging a first session, as my practice is often full. If I have space that aligns with your needs, I offer a 15‑minute introductory call so you can meet me, ask any questions, and briefly share what has brought you to therapy. I may ask a few assessment questions, such as whether you have had therapy before and what you are hoping to gain from the work.
If you decide to book a first session, I will email a therapy agreement that outlines how we will work together. In our first session, we will go through this agreement and you can raise any questions or concerns.
I will then invite you to tell me where you would like to begin. At some point in the session, I usually ask what you hope to gain from therapy. There are no right or wrong answers to this; some people arrive with a clear focus, while others are unsure. If you are not certain, that is completely fine — clarity often emerges naturally over the first few sessions. Everyone’s needs are different, and we can explore together what feels most important for you at this stage.
