About me and my therapy practice
It is said that the quality of our relationships determine our well-being, identity, security, purpose and happiness ...and if ours are not going well then life can be a struggle.
Maybe that is why you have found your way here ...so first, welcome and well done for reaching out for help.
I am a qualified and experienced ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered relationship counsellor whose main aim is to try to help people in difficulties whether it's between couples; parents and their young adults; families; siblings or work colleagues.
In my experience, communication issues are at the root of most problems and I am committed to finding a way to help you improve your relationships and build a more solid foundation for them to thrive.
Practice description
I offer in-person appointments at my quiet and peaceful office just minutes from Clapham Common tube station.
My integrative, person-centred approach allows me to draw on a range of therapeutic models in order to find the right support for you.
I have worked on a domestic violence helpline; been a Samaritan volunteer; worked for a low-cost counselling charity (Wilfrid's House) supporting clients with a wide range of issues including historic sexual abuse, bereavement, addiction and eating disorders; and worked for a charity (We Stand) providing therapeutic support to parents whose children have experienced sexual abuse.
In my private practice I work with clients facing many different issues, and I have a special interest in working with anxiety which can be so debilitating and ruin lives.
My approach is open, warm and collaborative and my aim is to help you feel supported, understood and empowered to move forward.
My first session
After receiving an email, text or whatsapp enquiry from you, we can arrange an initial session where we can introduce ourselves, discuss what has prompted you to seek counselling and how I might be able to help. If you decide to go ahead we will organise a suitable time for a regular slot. We will regularly review our work together and I always encourage honest feedback from my clients.
I am a registered member of ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, and follow their code of ethics. I have regular supervision and I am fully insured.
