About me and my therapy practice
It can be really hard to decide to start looking for a counsellor, never mind actually beginning the hunt.
Know that I’m here to offer you a warm, supportive space for you to share as openly as you feel comfortable, without judgment.
There are lots of reasons people seek counselling and all of them are valid - what you bring is important.
Life can come with a whole host of challenges - feeling out of control, stuck in unhealthy cycles (thought patterns, behaviours, relationships), low self-confidence, anxiety, stress, depression, comparing, feeling irritable, overwhelmed.
Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting you, alongside developing new ways to help you manage effectively so that you can feel empowered, in control and capable.
I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual - it can't be a one-size-fits-all, right?! That's why I trained integratively with the Person-Centred Approach at the heart of how I work. This means that I believe you know you better than anyone - you might just not quite know the questions to ask to get those answers.
The integrative part means that I use other theories to best support you - these theories help us to explore you, your life experiences, your relationships (with you and with others) while building coping strategies and identifying any behaviours that we can work towards changing if you'd like to.
I offer a free 30 minute Zoom call so we can meet, have a chat about your hopes for counselling and for you to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you.
With exploring, discovering and understanding, I believe you can heal, grow and thrive…
Practice description
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationship. I don’t sit behind a mask or hold back who I am; instead, I show up with you—present, engaged, and alongside you in whatever you’re facing. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or simply in need of a space to be heard, you're welcome just as you are.
My style is gentle but honest. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also invite you to go deeper when you’re ready. I draw from a range of approaches including relational therapy, person-centred, psychodynamic and body-aware practices. This means our work together is shaped by your unique story, your pace, and your needs.
Clients often tell me they feel safe to bring parts of themselves they’ve kept hidden, and that’s something I value deeply. I don’t offer quick fixes or advice—but I do offer a space where something meaningful can unfold. Together, we can explore the patterns, beliefs and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, and begin to gently shift them—so you can live more fully, more freely, and more in connection with yourself.
Sessions are available online; if you’d like to know more or get a feel for whether I’m the right fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.

These might be about how I work as a counsellor - they might be about counselling in general. Of course, I'm happy to answer these if I can.

About me and my therapy practice
For me, supervision is much more than discussing client work. It's a space to pause, think together and make sense of what might be happening within the therapeutic relationship, within our clients and within ourselves.
My approach is relational, collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I don't believe supervision is about having all the answers. Instead, we'll wonder together, explore what's sitting beneath the surface, notice patterns and think about what might be unfolding in the room. Alongside celebrating what's going well, there'll be space for the clients who stay with you long after the session ends, the moments of uncertainty and the inevitable questions that come with this work.
My core training is integrative, with Person-Centred values at its heart. Depending on what emerges, we may draw on attachment theory, Transactional Analysis or psychodynamic ideas as different ways of making sense of the work. Rather than reaching for theory first, I find myself asking, "What's happening here?" and allowing theory to support our thinking, rather than lead it.
My hope is that supervision feels like somewhere you can bring your whole therapist self; your confidence, your doubts, your curiosity and your humanity. A place where you feel supported, appropriately challenged and able to continue growing in a way that feels authentic to you and the therapist you're becoming.
Practice description
Being a therapist can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be deeply isolating at times. There are clients who stay with us long after the session ends, moments that leave us questioning ourselves and others that quietly remind us why we do this work.
Being invited into someone's world is both a privilege and a responsibility. It's work that asks a great deal of us, both professionally and personally.
My hope is that supervision becomes somewhere you don't have to hold it all on your own.
Together, we'll make sense of what's happening in the work - your clients, the therapeutic relationship, your use of self and the parts that don't always fit neatly into theory or formulation.
We'll make space for uncertainty, celebrate what's going well and gently explore the moments that leave you wondering, bringing the same curiosity and compassion to yourself that you show your clients.
Sometimes we'll slow things down, notice what's happening beneath the surface and discover that the question we arrived with wasn't quite the question we needed to ask.
I don't believe supervision is about arriving at the 'right' answer.
More often, it's about creating enough space to see the work differently. That shift in perspective can open up possibilities that weren't visible before.
I welcome qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who value curiosity, authenticity and relationship.
Whether you've recently qualified or have years of experience, my hope is that you'll leave supervision feeling heard, understood and more confident - with a deeper understanding of yourself, your clients and the therapeutic relationship, and with greater trust in your own way of working.
