About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist with 19 years鈥 experience working with individuals and couples, registered with 糖心官网 and accredited by UKCP, and trained in EMDR. I provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can explore whatever has brought you to therapy, whether that feels clear or hard to put into words. People often come because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, low, or uncertain about their relationships or life patterns. Whatever your reason, you are welcome as you are.

My approach is grounded in Gestalt and person-centred therapy, combined with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). Gestalt therapy helps you notice your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and patterns in the present, supporting awareness and self-understanding. Person-centred principles ensure that our work is collaborative, warm and non-judgemental.

EMDR is an evidence-based method for working with distressing or traumatic experiences that continue to affect your life. It helps the brain process memories that were 鈥渟tuck,鈥 reducing the intensity of emotions, beliefs and body sensations connected to past events. EMDR can be used alongside talking therapy or as a focused approach, always paced according to your readiness and needs.

I work with individuals and couples across all life stages. Therapy can help you explore identity, relationships, past experiences, anxiety, depression or stress, and support growth, self-compassion and emotional resilience. For couples, we focus on communication, recurring patterns and emotional connection, creating a space to restore understanding and closeness.

I aim to provide a professional, relational, and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to help you reflect, gain clarity, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others, so that meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.

Practice description

I offer a supportive space where you can reflect on the difficulties or challenges you are facing, in a safe, confidential environment. Therapy gives you the chance to speak with someone outside your day-to-day life who can truly listen, hold space for you, and offer understanding without judgement. Together, we can explore your experiences, thoughts, emotions and patterns, helping you gain fresh perspectives and perhaps a deeper understanding of yourself.

Some people come to therapy to work through anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, or past experiences that continue to affect their present life. Others simply want a space to pause, reflect, and be curious about themselves. Whatever your reason for coming, I aim to meet you where you are and work at a pace that feels right for you.

Alongside talking therapy, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an approach that can be particularly helpful for processing difficult memories or experiences that feel 鈥渟tuck.鈥 EMDR is gentle, structured, and always guided by your readiness, helping you feel safer and more in control. Many people find that it reduces the intensity of distressing feelings and allows old experiences to feel less overwhelming, while supporting personal growth and emotional wellbeing.

I see clients in my practice, which provides a calm, comfortable space for focused sessions, and I also offer 鈥渨alk and talk鈥 therapy in the local area. Walking together can help you feel grounded and present, while still giving space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. Therapy can help you reflect, gain clarity, notice patterns, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you. I am here to walk alongside you, offering support, understanding, and guidance as you explore what matters most and take steps toward meaningful change.

My first session

In our initial consultation, we will meet to talk through what you are hoping to gain from therapy and begin exploring how we might work together towards your goals. This first conversation is a gentle, open space for you to share as much or as little as feels comfortable, while also getting a sense of how I work.

It鈥檚 also an opportunity for both of us to see whether we feel like a good fit. Finding the right therapeutic relationship is important, and this initial meeting allows you to ask questions, get a feel for the process, and decide whether you feel at ease moving forward together.

We can meet either in person or via Zoom, depending on what works best for you, offering flexibility and accessibility. My aim is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected from the very beginning..

About me and my therapy practice

With 19 years of experience as a dedicated therapist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to my role as a qualified psychotherapy supervisor. My extensive background in Psychotherapy not only informs my supervisory work but also enriches the guidance and support I offer to both qualified counsellors and students. I work with supervisees that practice in the Humanistic modalities (Gestalt, Person Centred and Transactional Analysis)

Practice description

I offer supervision in both one-to-one and group formats, creating a supportive, collaborative space where reflection and open dialogue are central. My approach is grounded in the value of relational and reflective practice, encouraging supervisees to think critically about their work, deepen their self-awareness, and continue developing their professional identity and therapeutic abilities.

I aim to provide a space where you can safely explore challenges, celebrate progress, and gain new perspectives on your practice. Through thoughtful discussion and guidance, I support you in strengthening your skills, confidence, and effectiveness as a practitioner.

Whether you are an experienced counsellor looking to refine and expand your practice, or a student at the beginning of your professional journey, my supervision is tailored to meet your needs. Together, we will work through the complexities of therapeutic work, helping you feel more assured, capable, and supported in your role.

My first session

Developing a thorough understanding of your individual needs, current caseload, and stage of training is a vital part of creating effective and meaningful supervision. In our first session, we will explore these areas together in detail, giving us the opportunity to assess whether we are a good fit to work collaboratively. This initial conversation helps to ensure that the supervision space feels supportive, aligned, and beneficial for your professional journey.

Our first meeting also provides time to reflect on your experiences to date, think about your aspirations, and gently explore any challenges or uncertainties you may be encountering in your practice. Establishing this shared understanding from the beginning allows us to build a strong and trusting foundation for our ongoing work together.

By taking a personalised approach, supervision can be shaped around your unique development, preferred way of learning, and the context in which you are practising. This flexibility ensures that each session remains relevant and attuned to your needs as they evolve over time. Ultimately, the aim is to support you in strengthening your confidence, deepening your competence, and enhancing your self-awareness, enabling you to grow into a more grounded and effective practitioner.
