My office is in Barnstaple, Devon, where I also run a Therapy room rental service for counsellors and psychologists.
All sessions are offered either in person, zoom or telephone.
Practice description
My counselling experience is working alongside adult clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, autism, ADHD, low self - esteem, trauma, abuse, those who are caring for another family member, change, transition, loss including issues relating to the menopause, attachment and social anxiety.
I have over 30 years of lived reality of autism and ADHD within the family and specialise in adults with autism and ADHD, both individually or for couples therapy. This sometimes links into trauma, often in childhood - Adverse Childhood Experiences. Trauma and autism can overlap in what is called 'diagnostic overshadowing'. Both conditions can result in emotional dysregulation, sensory processing issues, social withdrawal and changes to routine (Ref Attwood & Garnett 2024)
I bring care, compassion and connection into my practice and regularly update my continuous professional development.
Stress is the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed upon them. Stress can come from many different places and in many different forms. Being able to talk and be listened too in a non-judgemental, empathic way can allow you too feel supported, understood and validated. Being heard is the cornerstone of healthy communication. I offer a drop in, listen and signpost service to businesses and bespoke training and talks on Mental Health.

For individuals or couples I offer an initial 20 minute free zoom or phone call. The first session after that is charged at £25
