Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and offer counselling sessions face-to-face, online, and by telephone. Appointments are available during weekdays, with some evening appointments available on request.

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours during working days. If you contact me over a weekend or bank holiday, I will respond as soon as possible on my return.

Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs and arrange an initial consultation. Together we can explore what has brought you to counselling and whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

If I have any planned periods of leave, I will update this section accordingly.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you, without fear of judgement. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe that feeling heard, understood and accepted can be the first step towards meaningful change.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Humanistic approaches, tailoring our work to suit your individual needs and circumstances. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, develop greater self-awareness, and find ways to move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Clients often seek therapy to:

Reduce anxiety and stress

Improve self-esteem and confidence

Strengthen personal and professional relationships

Build resilience and emotional wellbeing

Navigate life transitions, loss and change

I have many years' experience supporting adults with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, bereavement and autism spectrum conditions. Alongside my private practice, I am a counselling lecturer at a local college, supporting and developing future counsellors.

I also have experience working with children and young people, helping them navigate the challenges that can arise during childhood and adolescence. I understand that young people may not always find it easy to express how they are feeling, and I offer a supportive and age-appropriate space where they can explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences safely.

In addition to counselling, I provide clinical supervision for counsellors and other helping professionals.

Whatever has brought you here, you will be met with warmth, compassion and understanding. My aim is to help you feel supported as we work together towards greater clarity, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Practice description

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing a long-standing difficulty that has been affecting your wellbeing for some time, or perhaps you are facing a recent challenge that feels overwhelming or difficult to navigate alone.

Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly and honestly at your own pace. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to listen, understand and work alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Through this process, you can gain greater self-awareness, develop new perspectives and find ways of moving forward that feel right for you.

I believe that meaningful change happens when we feel genuinely heard, understood and valued. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice, and I aim to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be yourself, without fear of judgement or criticism.

I have extensive experience providing therapy within both private practice and counselling agency settings, working with adults, children and young people from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Alongside my private practice, I am a Counselling Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor. These roles continually enrich my understanding of human relationships, growth and emotional wellbeing, and reflect my commitment to supporting others in reaching their potential.

Whether you are looking for short-term support around a specific issue or wish to explore deeper, longer-term patterns, we can work together in a way that best meets your needs.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, providing an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.

This initial conversation gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have about counselling, how I work, and whether I feel like the right counsellor for you. It is also an opportunity for me to understand your needs and expectations and to explore how we might work together.

If you decide to proceed, our first session will focus on getting to know you and gaining a deeper understanding of your current situation, challenges and goals. There is no pressure or obligation to continue after the consultation or first session; finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and I encourage you to choose someone you feel comfortable working with.
