About me and my therapy practice
Welcome
I am Caroline, a qualified and registered counsellor with the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø. I work with individuals and couples aged 18 years+ in Lewisham and online, offering a warm, safe and non‑judgmental space to explore whatever is affecting your thoughts, feelings or relationships.
What are you experiencing?
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck and unsure why?
Are things building up until they feel unmanageable, leaving you panicked, fearful or exhausted?
Are relationships, family pressures or work stress becoming difficult to cope with?
Are intrusive thoughts, low confidence or reduced self‑esteem affecting how you interact or make decisions?
Therapy offers space to slow down, reflect and understand yourself more deeply.
How I can support you
I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where you can feel heard and accepted. Together we explore your feelings, beliefs and experiences, build confidence and self‑esteem, and make sense of how past events may be influencing your present. My aim is to help you develop clarity, resilience and self‑awareness so you can move forward with greater confidence and emotional balance. I tailor therapy to your needs and work at a pace that feels safe.
What are you experiencing as a couple?
Are you and your partner feeling disconnected or stuck in repeating patterns?
Are conversations turning into conflict, withdrawal or feeling unheard?
Are past hurts or shaken trust making closeness difficult?
Are life transitions, family pressures or external stress creating distance?
Are you longing for closeness but unsure how to bridge the gap?
Couples therapy offers a supportive space to rebuild trust and strengthen your connection.
How I support couples
We explore the patterns that keep you stuck, improve communication, rebuild emotional safety and understand the deeper emotions and needs beneath conflict. Together we work on repairing trust, navigating life transitions and developing a stronger, more secure bond.
Practice description
Sensique Counselling – ‘Making sense of your unique sel´Ú’
My counselling sessions in Lewisham offer a safe, comfortable and non‑judgmental space for you to talk about and reflect on any concerns or issues that are affecting your thoughts and feelings.
Counselling Approaches
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in a way that feels personal, collaborative and responsive to your needs. My work is integrative, blending different modalities to help you make sense of your experiences and move toward greater clarity, confidence and emotional well‑being.
Person‑centred counselling
This approach places you at the heart of the work. It supports you to connect with your inner values, emotions and sense of self, helping you build confidence, self‑worth and a deeper understanding of who you are. You set the pace, and together we explore what feels important for your growth.
Psychodynamic counselling
This approach helps you understand how past experiences, unconscious processes and early relationships may be influencing your present thoughts, feelings and behaviours. By bringing these patterns into awareness, you can gain insight, make new choices and feel more in control of your emotional world.
How I integrate these approaches
Whether you come to therapy as an individual or as a couple, I combine these ways of working to help you understand both your inner world and your relational patterns. This means exploring what you feel, how you protect yourself, what you need, and how your past may be shaping your present.
Together, we create a space where you can reflect, grow and develop healthier ways of relating — to yourself and to others.
My first session
Arranging a first session
I offer a complimentary 30‑minute telephone consultation as a gentle first step. This gives you space to talk through what brings you to counselling, how you’re feeling, and what you hope to gain from therapy. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward.
If you choose to continue, we’ll arrange your first weekly in-person, online or telephone session. In this session, we begin exploring your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll talk about what feels most important for you right now, what you’d like support with, and what you need from me as your therapist. I’ll also guide you through the brief initial paperwork that helps us set up your therapy safely and clearly.
My aim is to offer a warm, welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what’s happening in your life.
