About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, relational space where you don’t have to rush, perform, or have everything worked out before you begin.

Many people come to counselling because something doesn’t feel quite right — perhaps anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional confusion, or a sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed — even if it is hard to put into words. I often work with thoughtful, capable people who appear to be coping on the outside but feel anxious, confused or overwhelmed internally.

My way of working is steady, collaborative and paced around you. I pay close attention to emotional experience, relationships, the nervous system, and what is felt in the body. Rather than pushing for quick answers or solutions, I focus on creating the conditions for things to unfold naturally, at a speed that feels safe and manageable.

Therapy can offer a place to slow down, feel more grounded, and begin to trust your own experience again. I don’t offer quick fixes, but a thoughtful and attuned space where change can emerge over time.

I work with adults and couples, supporting people with anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, trauma, low self-esteem and life transitions. I also offer EMDR, which can be helpful for processing past experiences that continue to affect the present.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, attuned and not directive — someone who will meet you where you are rather than tell you what to do — you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.

Practice description

My counselling approach is relational, person-centred and integrative. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard without pressure to explain everything perfectly or be anything other than you are.

I work with empathy, intuition and care, supporting you to explore life experiences, relationship patterns and emotional responses that may be causing distress. This may include anxiety, shame, trauma, loss, relationship difficulties, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

Where appropriate, I integrate EMDR alongside talking therapy. This can support people in processing difficult or overwhelming experiences that may still feel active in the present.

When working with couples, I aim to create a space where both people feel safe enough to be understood. The work may involve slowing down patterns of blame, defensiveness or disconnection, and supporting clearer communication and a more collaborative way of relating.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about creating the conditions for clarity, healing and change to unfold over time.

Alongside my counselling work, I am beginning to develop a small number of therapeutic and creative groups locally. These are separate from individual therapy and are designed to support connection, nervous system settling and shared experience in gentle, accessible ways.

My first session

Before our first session, I will send you a counselling agreement which outlines the professional boundaries, practical arrangements and expectations for the work.

In our first meeting, we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you may be hoping for, and whether it feels like a good fit for us to work together.

Individual counselling sessions are £50 per hour.

EMDR sessions are £55 per hour.

Couples sessions are £60 for 60 minutes.

For couples, the assessment process may take a few sessions. This is an important part of the work and helps us understand the patterns, difficulties and focus for therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

Relationships are the cornerstone of our lives, influencing our happiness and overall well-being. Yet, when a relationship hits rough patches, it can leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed, affecting every aspect of our lives. This is where relationship counselling steps in, offering a beacon of hope and a pathway to understanding, growth, and connection.

I'm passionate about guiding couples through the complexities of relationships to a place of harmony and fulfillment. In my practice, I believe that relationship counselling isn't just about resolving conflicts; it's about delving deep into understanding oneself and one's partner, and how those dynamics shape the relationship.

Navigating through challenges alone can feel like an uphill battle, especially when communication breaks down. Seeking help, though daunting, is a courageous step towards healing and growth. Through counselling, we create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and differences, fostering empathy, understanding, and compassion.

Together, we'll unravel the intricacies of your relationship, working through tough emotions and communication barriers. It's an opportunity not just to mend what's broken but to enrich and deepen your connection with each other. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, providing you with the tools and insights to navigate the journey ahead.

Counselling can be transformative, where you'll not only learn more about yourself and your partner but also discover new ways to relate and connect with each other.

My first session

I initially go through an assessment process which entails talking to the couple together and each person separately, this helps to really understand what is happening and what the focus of the work will be. This can take a few sessions but is an important part of the work.
