About me and my therapy practice

At any stage in life, we can experience changes or moments where it becomes difficult to cope with our thoughts and feelings.

This can result in feeling stuck and not knowing how to process what we're experiencing. Knowing who or how to open up to others can feel incredibly difficult and can make us feel isolated and alone.

You may feel that you are a burden or what you're experiencing is too much for someone to understand.

Having a therapist allows you to share all parts of you, parts that are accepted wholeheartedly without shame or judgement, which may not feel possible even with those you feel closest to.

I aim to help uncover and explore and challenge your processes, thoughts and feelings which in turn can lead to self-awareness and growth. Therapy can often be challenging and requires hard work in and out of the sessions. As your therapist, I am here to support you through all of the challenges and difficulties that may arise.

I aim to provide a safe, welcoming non-judgemental space that gives room to all parts of your identity and being, parts which may have been hidden so deeply from yourself. It is in this way that we learn about ourselves and our processes.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist, I am trained in various approaches and use a combination of these depending on each individual clients needs.

I believe therapy to be highly relational. Through my practice and supported by research, I have found that the relationship held between therapist and client to be one of the largest indicators of successful therapy.

The connection held can be unexplainable but deeply important to those who experience it, as it stems from a place of being provided with the core conditions needed for us to process, learn and grow as people.

My first session

In our first session, I will aim to understand your needs, goals and expectations of therapy and try to meet these to ensure you receive sessions which will benefit you in the best possible manner.

The first few sessions can be about gaining context, background and a rich understanding of your life, history and what brings you to therapy and ultimately, providing you with a space that allows you to feel heard
