About me and my therapy practice
Modern life offers little time to pause and reflect. We rarely have chance to ask ourselves how we’re feeling or explore what we want from our life and relationships.
I first came to counselling as a client. This experience instilled in me the power of talking with someone who listens without judgment and asks questions to facilitate personal growth. Through better understanding myself, my thinking patterns, my feelings and my ways of relating, I became more confident to make decisions aligned with my values. This experience made to me want to offer such a space to others.
I am now an experienced person-centred counsellor working in an NHS practice and the voluntary sector alongside offering private sessions online. I aim to be there to support you, offering care and empathy wherever sessions take us. Life is different for everyone, so I’ll never assume I know how you feel or tell you what to do.
Practice description
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, managing disordered eating, and in working with Autistic clients. As a person-centred therapist so I’ll always try to meet you where you are and support you in getting to wherever you want to go. I’m happy to be led by you as to the direction each session takes, whether looking forward to the future or back into the past, and I’ll build in regular reviews for us to reflect together on your progress. I believe in treating everyone I meet with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey. I offer online counselling sessions.
I am a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and hold indemnity insurance. I engage in regular clinical supervision to support me in supporting my clients. Due to covid, I have a lot of experience in delivering counselling online via Zoom and other remote-access means.
My wish is always to support and empower you to move towards what you consider a good outcome or an improvement of a stuck, worried, anxious, uncertain or depressed state of mind. Thanks to my charity and NHS work, I’m experienced in supporting a diverse portfolio of clients from many different walks of life.
