Availability

I have availability on Thursday and Friday, including evening sessions. I offer long- and short-term therapy both in person and online.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced person-centred therapist and supervisor providing counselling for children (10+), young people and adults. I offer a warm, down-to-earth approach in a calm and confidential space to support you through challenging times in your life.

I offer long and short-term therapy in South Buckinghamshire, both face to face and online.

Practice description

I work as counsellor in a school, providing therapy for staff and students. Additionally, I have a Private Practice offering one to one counselling to meet the unique needs of the individual. I have experience of working with a diverse client base with a wide range of presenting issues. While my approach is primarily person-centred, my experience and additional training enable me to integrate a range of methods including creative, trauma-focused, CBT and nature-based work.

I have a specialist interest in working with women and their families in relation to pregnancy, birth experience and the transition to parenthood. Being a co-qualified counsellor and practising NHS midwife gives me a deep understanding of the different emotional challenges individuals and families encounter during this momentous life transition, as well as the passion, knowledge and experience to support them through it.

I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment where I work alongside you at your own pace. I bring to the therapeutic relationship warmth, authenticity and a down-to-earth approach so that together we can explore areas of your life that you may be finding confusing, challenging or distressing. Together we can process these emotions and experiences to help you gain a better understanding of your situation and perhaps discover new perspectives. I will work collaboratively with you to find your own solutions, as well as support you in trying new strategies or exploring different ways of coping to help you move towards the person you want to be.

My first session

Once we are in contact, I will arrange for us to have a free 15-minute telephone conversation to talk through what’s bringing you to therapy, explain how I work and offer an opportunity for you to ask me questions.

If you decide that working together feels like a good fit, we can arrange an initial session, and I will send you a registration form and my practice terms so you have everything you need ahead of time.

Regular sessions are 50-mins and usually on a weekly basis.

I am also happy to offer referrals where necessary, so that you can find the help you need.

Availability

I offer flexible supervision to meet the needs of the supervisee, both in-person and online.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, supportive and reflective space for counsellors to think deeply about their work, their clients and themselves as practitioners. I believe supervision should feel safe enough to be honest, thoughtful enough to be meaningful, and robust enough to support ethical and effective professional practice.

Supervision is available in person or online.

Practice description

My approach to supervision is relational, person-centred and pluralistic, drawing on my background in counselling adults and young people across a variety of settings, including schools, charitable organisations and private practice. I hold a CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Counselling Supervision, which supports my commitment to offering supervision that is ethical, reflective, collaborative and grounded in sound professional practice.

My work is informed by evidence-based approaches to supervision and by a commitment to anti-oppressive practice. I pay attention to the ways that power, identity, culture, privilege, discrimination and systemic inequality may be present in the therapy room and within the supervisory relationship. I aim to offer a space where difference can be explored with openness, care and accountability.

I welcome trainee counsellors and qualified practitioners alike, valuing the different perspectives, learning edges and depth of experience each person brings. Supervisees are invited to bring the whole of their practice — the rewarding moments, the stuck places, the doubts, the ethical dilemmas and the emotional impact of the work. Together, we can reflect, make sense of complexity, and support your growth as a confident, compassionate and accountable practitioner.
