About me and my therapy practice
Online Counselling for Cascais & Beyond
Life doesn't always go to plan, and sometimes the weight of it becomes hard to carry alone.
Whether you're navigating grief and loss, adjusting to life in a new country, working through the impact of adoption, or simply feeling stuck, I offer warm, practical online support to help you find your footing again.
Many of my clients in Cascais are expats or have relocated from elsewhere, bringing with them the particular challenges that come with building a life somewhere new. Working online means you can access support from wherever you are, at a time that suits you. You don't have to be in crisis to reach out. Sometimes things just feel harder than expected, and that's enough.

Grief, bereavement, and loss
Expat life, relocation, and cultural adjustment
Anxiety, stress, and low mood
Self-esteem and confidence
Relationships and boundaries
Adoption, personal or within the family
Retirement and life transitions
Significant life changes
About Me

I have worked with diverse clients in private practice and volunteered with organisations including Young Minds, The Prince's Trust, and The Mulberry Centre.
What to Expect
We'll work together online, at your pace, to explore what's troubling you, develop practical coping strategies, and build the resilience and confidence to move forward.

Practice description
I offer a free 20 minute session to see if we are a good match. It's important as a client that you feel you are able to build a relationship with me where you feel supported and understood in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, even in the most difficult of circumstances.
My aim is to work at your pace. I won't push you to talk about things that you aren't ready to talk about.
Together, we will explore what is going on for you now.
At the same time, we will look at how events and emotions in the past have influenced your feelings and your behaviour.
Moving forward with this awareness, we will explore how you can adapt and make changes. We will work on developing practical skills to help reduce your anxiety and build the resilience that you need for improved self-confidence and overall well-being.
My first session
1. We will start with a free 20 minute session to see if we are a suitable match. It may be useful if you put a list of questions together to ask me, this will allow you to make an informed decision.
2. I will email you a client consent form to complete before the first session.
3. In our first session I will ask you a series of questions to get an idea of what you want from the sessions and an understanding of what is going on for you at the moment.
4. Counselling starts.

About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I'm an experienced online counsellor working with adults navigating grief, bereavement, loss and significant life changes. This might be the death of someone close, the end of a relationship, a new chapter like retirement or redundancy, a move abroad, or an adoption journey. My approach is warm, practical and non-judgemental.
My work isn't about quick fixes. I take time to understand your story, creating space for you to feel genuinely heard while also helping you build practical skills and coping strategies you can use in everyday life. We can explore what's shaped you, challenge unhelpful thought patterns and work towards a life that feels more manageable and more like your own.
I also support people with anxiety, low mood, relationship and communication difficulties, professional stress, burnout, confidence and adjusting to a new ADHD diagnosis.
All sessions are held online via Zoom, making support accessible wherever you are in the world.
Why Work With Me
I am down-to-earth, easy to talk to and genuinely invested in your progress. I offer a tailored approach built around your specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all model. I am a registered and accredited member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø and work in line with their ethical guidelines.
Alongside my private practice, I have volunteered with Young Minds, The Prince's Trust and The Mulberry Centre, supporting people through major life and health challenges.
What to Expect
In our sessions together we will take time to explore what is troubling you, including what has shaped your past and anything you feel stuck on. From there we will work together to develop practical coping strategies that help build your resilience and inner strength, so you can start to feel more in control of your life.
Get Started
I offer a free 20-minute initial session so you can get a feel for how I work and whether we are a good fit. No commitment, no pressure.
