About me and my therapy practice

A warm welcome to my profile.

My name is Hannah and I鈥檓 a 糖心官网-registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Level 7). I work with adults both in-person and online, supporting a wide range of challenges.

Coming to counselling and sharing your struggles with another can be a daunting experience. Central to my work as a therapist is to create a caring, compassionate, non-judgemental and respectful space. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional understanding and self-acceptance, and move towards greater clarity, resilience and inner peace.

Clients often describe feeling at ease with me from our very first conversation. Others have shared that our work was 鈥渓ife-changing鈥 and has led to meaningful, lasting growth 鈥 you can read some of their words on the testimonials page of my website (www.serenuspsychotherapy.co.uk).

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, which means I am trained in different approaches and can draw on these approaches depending on what feels most helpful and of value to you.

Together, we might explore:

- Why certain patterns keep repeating in your emotions, thoughts and/or relationships

- How to make sense of difficult emotions, and to calm and regulate these

- How to challenge/offer different perspectives to your thoughts

- How your past experiences may be shaping your present

- What tools and coping strategies can be used to support you

- What it means to meet yourself with compassion, rather than criticism

- How to feel more at peace and confident in who you truly are

Practice description

My approach is holistic, recognising that our thoughts, emotions and bodily experiences are deeply interconnected. I may also draw on mindfulness, grounding and somatic approaches to help you regulate difficult emotions, feel more present, and cultivate a greater sense of inner calm. In slowing down we can also better understand your inner world, recurring patterns and the experiences that have shaped you.

My work also welcomes conversations around spirituality. This does not need to linked to a particular faith or belief system, but may include exploring meaning, purpose, belonging, and connection 鈥 to others, to the natural world, and to something greater than ourselves or the Divine/God.

Above all, I aim to offer a space where all parts of you are welcome 鈥 even those that feel uncertain, hidden or difficult to express.

It鈥檚 important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. If you鈥檙e curious about working together, feel free to look at my website to find out more about me or reach out to arrange an initial conversation.

My first session

Before beginning counselling, I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together. This is a gentle space where you can share what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you might have, and get a sense of how I work.

There鈥檚 no pressure to have everything figured out 鈥 you鈥檙e welcome to come just as you are. The focus of this session is for both of us to get a feel for what working together might be like. After the session, you鈥檙e free to take some time to reflect or go ahead and book your first appointment when you feel ready.

Sessions take place on a rolling basis, with no set number required 鈥 you are free to continue for as long or as little as feels right for you. Some clients come for a few weeks or months; others find ongoing work helpful over a longer period. We will work together to find the right pace and length of your therapy journey.
