About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist, meaning that I work flexibly with each person to suit their needs. I can help deal with anxiety, depression, abuse, addiction, bereavement and many other issues. While some people may prefer to work in a solution-focused way to address an immediate concern others might be seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their past.

My way of working is based on our relationship, rather than any specific theoretical model. It is through our relationship that we explore your experience, your feelings, needs and wants in a non-judgemental, contained space. Through our work together it is my hope that clients develop a better understanding of themselves and leave with an increased level of confidence that comes from acceptance.

I began training in the field of psychology and psychotherapy in 2014 having completed a BSc in psychology and counselling and an MSc in therapeutic counselling in London. I also train psychotherapists on MSc level and teach counselling at undergraduate level at a London university.

Supervisor - London

London SE8
Sessions from £80.00

Features

  • Flexible hours available
  • Concessionary rates

Availability

I work flexibly to meet each supervisee's needs and offer 50 or 90 minute individual supervision weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. I also offer 90 minute group supervision, typically with up to 3 members. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any specific need you would like to discuss.

About me and my therapy practice

I think that finding the right supervisor is as important, and can be as challenging, as finding the right therapist. Having had a range of experiences myself with supervision, from inspiring to unhelpful, I aim to provide a supervision experience where your preferences are important and your concerns and doubts are securely held but your successes are also celebrated.

My approach to supervision is relational / integrative, with roots in existential-phenomenological and psychodynamic thinking. I don’t impose a particular model, and I’m open to working flexibly with whatever theoretical framework you are trained in or drawn to. My priority is that supervision meets your needs, which will be unique to you.

Work with me may involve exploring transference, countertransference, risk, etc. but the focus is primarily on the felt sense and working in an emergent, process-led way. I work best with practitioners who value thoughtfulness and are open to reflecting on themselves as part of the relationship they have both with clients and with me in supervision.

Practice description

I offer 50 or 90-minute supervision sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on what you need.  Fees:

50-minute session – £80

90-minute session – £120

I offer reduced fees for students, newly qualified practitioners just starting out in private practice, and qualified therapists who run a small practice.

My first session

The first session is a space to explore whether working together feels like a good fit, focussing on you, your practice, and what you’re looking for in supervision.

We’ll talk about your clinical background, what brings you to supervision now, and any previous experiences of supervision; what’s been helpful or unhelpful. We’ll also consider your hopes and expectations for our work, including why you’ve reached out to me and what kind of supervisory relationship you’re looking for.

You’re welcome to bring anything you feel would be useful for me to know about you or your work. This might include any hesitations, dynamics you’re aware of in our initial meeting, or reflections on how supervision could best support you.

The first session is charged at my standard supervision rate. I offer reduced fees for students, newly qualified practitioners just starting out in private practice, and qualified therapists who run a small practice.
