About me and my therapy practice
I am a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with experience in NHS services and counselling agency settings.
My practice combines relational, exploratory counselling with evidence-based psychological approaches, offering a steady and compassionate space for adults navigating emotional overwhelm, anxiety, identity-related experiences, relationship patterns, or periods of feeling stuck.
I provide both short-term and long-term integrative counselling, tailored to your needs and at your own pace. Additionally, I offer short, focused CBT-aligned support (typically lasting 6 to 12 sessions), drawing on my PWP background to provide structured, practical strategies when helpful. This allows you to choose between a deeper, open-ended therapeutic process or a more time-limited, goal-focused approach—or even a blend of both.
My therapeutic style is warm, calm, and supportive. I aim to create a space where you can express yourself freely, without pressure or judgment, and where your identity, background, and lived experience are recognized as central to the work. I approach our sessions in a culturally informed and identity-affirming manner, keeping in mind the broader contexts that shape how you feel and how you navigate the world.
I strive to offer a grounded, collaborative relationship where you can explore what is happening both internally and externally, develop clearer self-understanding, and build tools that support lasting change.
Practice description
I work in a culturally sensitive and identity‑aware manner, recognising that your background, values, and lived experiences shape how you see yourself and move through the world. Whether or not cultural identity feels central to you, I aim to understand you within the context of your life and to offer a space where you feel respected, heard, and understood.
I offer a thoughtful, respectful space where you can explore your experiences, identity, and emotions openly, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
My first session
I offer online and telephone sessions, giving you flexibility to access therapy in a way that feels most comfortable for you.
Before beginning therapy, I provide a free 20‑minute introductory call. This gives us both a little more time to get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit and for you to ask any initial questions about how I work.
If you choose to begin therapy, our first full session will be an assessment session. During this session, we explore the issues you’re bringing, your hopes and expectations for counselling, and any goals you may have in further depth. This helps us understand whether working together feels right and how best to shape the sessions to support you.
If we agree to continue, we will then meet weekly for regular therapy sessions. In our early work, we will go through the counselling agreement, discuss confidentiality, and outline what you can expect from our sessions. This creates a clear, steady foundation for our work together.
